New track supercar Lamborghini Essenza SCV12.
The Italian company Lamborghini showed the most powerful hypercar in the history of the brand. They decided to call the car Essenza SCV12. It is focused on track races.

The Italians plan to produce no more than 40 of these machines. Based on the words of Stefano Domenicali, the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 is the best the brand has to offer to the track racing lovers today.

The appearance of the most powerful hypercar of the Italian company is made with an eye to the conceptual versions of the 1970s.

The exterior has a large number of elements familiar to the brand — hexagonal and Y-shaped.

The exclusive liveries feature the logos of the racing division’s longtime partners, which include Pertamina, Pirelli and Roger Dubuis.

The car has a hood with double air intake and a center rib, a front splitter, two side elements with vertical ribs, and a huge adjustable rear dual-profile wing.

The presence of hexagonal headlights is also striking, giving the car a certain zest.
The new Lamborghini Essenza boasts magnesium 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels wrapped in Pirelli tires.

Thanks to its racing aerodynamic tail, the hypercar has 1,200 kg of downforce at a speed of 250 kilometers per hour.

It is worth noting that the development department decided to move the round tailpipes of the Capristo exhaust structure beyond the dimensions of the body, which made it possible to minimize the negative effect of hot exhaust gases on aerodynamic characteristics.

Italian specialists were able to do without an auxiliary safety cage. They just reinforced the cage of the cabin.

The interior of the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 is equipped with a multifunction steering wheel with a built-in screen.

The dashboard familiar to other cars is not installed here. Also here you can see the block of key switches on the center console. For the driver and passenger, OMP bucket seats and carbon fiber decor are provided here.

In many ways, the salon resembles the Formula-1 models. The interior is completely new. While the front fascia looks a bit spartan, it has a sculpted appearance.

Carbon fiber is closely intertwined with Alcantara. With the original carbon monocoque, the coupe has a mass / power ratio of 1.66 horsepower per kg, which is an excellent result!

POWER UNIT

Moves to move the novelty naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V-shaped 12-cylinder power plant from Aventador. It generates 830 horsepower (60 more horses than the road-going Lamborghini Aventador SVJ).

In addition to this, the Italians have equipped the car with a Capristo exhaust system, which improves performance and accentuates the sound of the powertrain.

The Lamborghini Squadra Corse factory team also worked on the settings for the technical part of the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12.

TRANSMISSION AND UNDERGROUND

Italian engineers decided to abandon the original robotic gearbox. Instead, they installed an X-trac six-speed sequential gearbox.

All torque is transmitted to the rear wheels. The dynamic performance of the 2021 Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 has yet to be reported, but the hypercar can be expected to be faster than its donor.

This is understandable even from the reduced weight to 1,378 kg (minus 147 kg when compared with the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ).

The braking system received serious Brembo racing brakes as well as a redesigned chassis. At the rear, there is now a push-rod suspension (horizontally oriented shock absorbers), which is somewhat fixed to the gearbox housing.

SETS AND PRICES

So far, there is also no information about the price of the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12, but there is every prerequisite that the car will have an impressive 7-digit price tag.

As mentioned above, the Italian company intends to produce only 40 of these machines, and the entire edition has already been sold out.

Unusually, Lamborghini has decided to organize an exclusive club for the owners of the hypercar, in which membership allows you to ride the most famous race tracks in the world with the 5-time winner of the «24 Hours of Le Mans» racer Emanuele Pirro.

Buyers should receive their cars as early as 2021.

Also, the obviously high cost includes storage of the «charged» compartment in a special hangar at the factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese. The owner will be allowed to watch his «swallow» through a webcam 24/7.
