Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo2 2023: aggressive aero kit and improved safety.

In the nineteenth year the company Lambroghini introduced a racing version of the coupe Huracan Evo — Huracan GT3 Evo, and now the Italians have announced an updated version of the two-door, which will make its official debut in January twenty-third at the marathon «24 Hours of Daytona».

While the manufacturer has published official photos of the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo2 and said that the car has become faster and more reliable than its predecessor, both in sprint and marathon races.

The updated version of the supercar is based on the Lamborghini Huracan STO (Super Trofeo Omologato) and supposedly should become one of the fastest racing cars in GT3 class.

It is reported that the specialists of the factory division «Lamborghini Centro Stile» were responsible for the design of the car.

They have given the car a more aggressive appearance.

The two-door 2023 has a fully carbon fiber body with new splitters and a different diffuser.

The car also gets a carbon fiber floor, which at the same time has a coating of high-strength Zylon fiber.

The Italians report that the modified bodykit components generate more downforce than on the GT3 Evo.

The car has the same rear antifender as on the donor Huracan STO.

At the same time, it is installed on aluminum alloy struts and has a much more solid range of adjustments. Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo2.

Hexagonal air intakes and rear «fin» were also borrowed from the Huracan STO.

These components are designed to ensure aerodynamic balance as well as an optimal flow of fresh air to the engine.

The car itself is set on 18-inch wheels with a central mono nut fastening.

They are «shod» in Pirelli’s PZero tires, which is a longtime partner of Lamborghini.

It is known that the racing two-door is powered by a V8 engine with titanium valves.

Unfortunately, the power of the power unit is not advertised, while it has 10 electronically controlled throttle valves.

This system has already been developed by the specialists of the Lamborghini Squadra Corse racing division.

It facilitates maintenance and was previously tried out on the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 track car.

The Italians borrowed from the latter an updated safety cage, which has two rear struts and new carbon-kevlar honeycomb panels.

It supposedly provides better protection in case of a side collision.

On the new Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo2, the side windows are made of Plexiglas and attached to the door panel with screws, which provides increased rigidity and reliability of the structure.

The updated supercar boasts upgraded brakes with different pads and calipers that perform well on both short and long runs.

The two-door race car also got a special Traction Control System (TCS) and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).

This electronics is designed to facilitate control of the car in conditions of poor grip.

The Italians will start shipping updated Huracan GT3 Evo2 customers in the second half of 2022, with teams who have previous versions will also be able to upgrade with an appropriate refinement package.
