Off-road Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato became serial. Italians have presented «all-road» supercar Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato.

The fashion for off-road versions of serial supercars, which has been promoted so far by tuning studios, was suddenly picked up by full-fledged automakers.

Two weeks ago the premiere of the coupe Porsche 911 Dakar took place, and today it was accompanied by Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato.

Although the Italians started thinking in this direction before their German counterparts: the first renderings of the off-road Huracan were published back in 2019.

Now the Sterrato (Italian for «dirt road») is fully ready for production.

Of course, this Lamborghini is not up to it, but this Huracan is suitable for fast driving on broken roads, relatively flat dirt roads or steppes.

Suspension with adaptive shock absorbers seriously revised and reinforced, the vertical travel of the wheels is increased, and ground clearance increased by 44 mm compared with the base model Huracan Evo (the final value is not named).

The fully steerable chassis has been retained, with the front track 30 mm wider and the rear track 34 mm wider.

All-road Bridgestone Dueler AT002 with an increased profile is installed instead of asphalt tires Pirelli P Zero: 235/40 R19 at the front axle, 285/40 R19 at the rear.

And they are made according to run flat technology: you can drive up to 80 km on the punctured tires (with speed up to 80 km/h), because Urakan has no spare tire.

Atmospheric V10 5.2 engine — in the same version as the youngest in the current family of rear-wheel drive model Huracan Evo RWD: power — 610 hp, torque — 560 Nm (all-wheel drive Huracan Evo has 640 hp and 600 Nm).

The seven-speed dual-clutch robot, all-wheel-drive transmission and rear self-locking differential are standard, but the ride electronics are reconfigured.

In addition to road modes Strada and Sport, there is a new preset Rally.

Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato has a protective plastic dodger, there is aluminum protection underneath, luggage rails on the roof, and the engine air intake is raised above the roof to get less dust into it.

As a result, the overall height of the coupe grew by 83 mm — to 1248 mm. Inside the cabin — special upholstery of the seats in alcantara, and in the menu of the media system added «off-road» page with roll and pitch indicators, compass and display of geographic coordinates.

All off-road preparation has made Huracan heavier by 48 kg: the dry weight of the Sterraro version is 1470 kg.

Coupled with a less powerful engine and other tires, it affected the dynamic characteristics: to «hundred» Huracan Sterrato accelerates in 3.4 seconds (compared with 2.9 seconds in Evo version), and to 200 km/h — for 9.8 seconds (compared with 9.0 seconds).

Maximum speed due to the tires is limited at 260 km/h, although the road-going Urakans can easily reach more than 300 km/h.

As well as Porsche 911 Dakar, off-road Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato will be produced in limited editions.

But not 2500 pieces, but only 1499 copies. The Dakar costs from 222 thousand euros, but Sterrato will ask about 300 thousand euros.

The exact price has not been announced yet, because the production of cars will start only in February.
