Land Rover Defender 130 2023.

The British introduced the Land Rover Defender 130: the largest and most luxurious in the family.

Until recently the family of the new Land Rover Defender consisted of two modifications — three-door Defender 90 and five-door Defender 110.

Now the British have presented the third version of the SUV with the index «130» in the name.

This is the lengthened version of the existing five-door, which is easy to recognize by the significantly increased rear overhang.

Otherwise the modification has standard exterior, although the color palette has been expanded (a new red shade has been added).

By default, the «one hundred and thirtieth» has eight seats with seating formula 2 +3 +3, and to please the passengers of the lounge are made heated seats, soft armrests and a separate USB-connectors for charging mobile gadgets.

Equipment of the novelty is the richest in the family. In particular, this car already has an advanced multimedia Pivi Pro with a 14.0-inch screen, which for other versions of the model is available only for extra charge.

The interior itself has received a perforated leather seats trim and several new options for decor «like wood».

Plus the car has an additional section of panoramic roof, but it does not have branded windows in the roof slopes.

You can order a four-zone climate control (for the first time in the history of the model) for extra charge.

Interestingly, the wheelbase of Land Rover Defender 130 2023 remained standard — 3 022 mm (as in Defender 110).

At the same time, the length of the SUV was increased to 5,358 mm (+ 340 mm), and the entire increase is precisely due to the rear overhang.

By default, the volume of the trunk of the model is 389 liters. The third row is folded in the proportion 40:20:40, and if to fold all its seats, the capacity of cargo area will make 1,232 liters.

Well, if you leave only front seats, the volume of cargo hold will be 2 291 liters.

However, customers can order elongated SUV in 5-seater version, where the volume of trunk behind the second row is 1 329 liters (+ 472 compared with Defender 110).

With the folded seats the capacity increases up to 2,516 liters (+ 570).

The basic modification already has an air suspension. In the highest position the clearance is 290 mm (as well as in other versions), but the angle of departure is a little bit lower — only 28.5 degrees (- 11.5).

However, the depth of ford remained the same — solid 900 mm. As for the power-unit lineup, only 3,0-liter in-line six of Ingenium family is offered to choose from.

Motors have a superstructure in the form of 48-volt starter-generator and work in conjunction with an eight-speed automatic ZF.

Off-road drive has a four-wheel drive. This is the iAWD system with front axle clutch and demultiplier.

There are diesel versions D250 and D300, as well as gasoline versions P300 and P400 (their power is reflected in the index).

As for dynamics, the most productive P400 version is able to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6,6 seconds.

In England taking orders for Defender 130 has already started — for a car asking from 73 900 pounds (5.8 million rubles at current exchange rate), while prices for Defender 110 start from £ 58 700 (4.6 million rubles).

Deliveries of the modification to other countries will begin in the second half of 2022.
