Land Rover Defender AT35 2023.

Land Rover Defender AT35 2023 is presented in Russia in the «extreme» version by Arctic Trucks.

The «hardcore» variant appeared in the five-door Defender 110. The amount of modifications in general is traditional for the tuning company, but the engine is original: they took the version with gasoline three-liter «six» as a base.

Although the company Jaguar Land Rover has not yet officially announced its departure, in fact, folded its activities in the Russian market in connection with the known events (which, however, does not prevent the supply of its cars — already under the parallel import scheme).

But the Russian division of the Icelandic tuning company Arctic Trucks continues its work and now its portfolio is completed with 5-door Land Rover Defender: the SUV is presented in the «extreme» version Arctic Trucks AT35.

By the way, it is the second model of non-Japanese brand, remade by the local branch — the «firstborn» was Chinese Great Wall Wingle 7 pickup (before Arctic Trucks worked in Russia with Nissan, Toyota, Mitsubishi and Isuzu).

Defender Arctic Trucks AT35 has changed geometry of the body in the front and rear parts, shock absorbers and pneumatic spacers were added (adaptive suspension functionality is retained).

The Arctic package also includes wheel arch extenders (factory fenders are also revised), off-road tires (315/60/R20 or 35×12.5 R20), forged 20-inch wheels, rustproof seams, front and rear mudguards, mudguards with the Arctic Trucks logo and a large company name tag.

After the modifications the width of the Defender was increased by 65 mm to 2170 mm, its height was increased by 93 mm (new value for model with spring suspension is 2065 mm, with air suspension — 2060 mm), plus the track was increased.

The entry angle is now 39.1/38 degrees (spring/pneumatic suspension; was 31.2/30.1 degrees), the exit angle is 40.1/40 degrees (was 37.8/37.7 degrees).

«Standard» ground clearance of the «extreme» Defender is 260 or 270 mm (spring/pneumatic suspension; was 228 or 218 mm), in the highest position — 360 mm (instead of 290 mm). Minimum turning radius is increased from 6.5 to 7.5 m.

The engine and gearbox are original. Under the hood of the Defender Arctic Trucks AT35 is installed 400-horsepower 3.0 petrol «six» engine, which works with an eight-speed «automatic».

According to Arctic Trucks, «sales of Land Rover Defender AT35 will be available all over Russia».

All design changes «are made in accordance with the requirements of the regulatory documents, operating in the EEU. But the price of the AT35 kit is not specified in the release.
