The new generation of the model was unveiled in late spring of this year. With the change of generations, the large and luxurious Lexus RX crossover available in Europe has changed significantly.

The price tag for the Lexus car was announced after the debut, and so far it has remained at the same level.

Currently, the company has opened applications for the Lexus RX crossover. The new version with plug-in hybrid has received significant differences from other competitors in its segment.

Three fuel versions, two selfcharging hybrids and one PHEV modification with plug-in module are announced in the powertrain range.

The simplest versions will be RX 350h and RX 500h. At that, the last one combines turbocharged petrol engine and HEV technology, which is a novelty for the brand.

However, the main role is played by the rechargeable hybrid with the newest technology, which takes the crossover to a new level of competitiveness.

The Lexus RX with plug-in hybrid comes equipped with a system that activates the hybrid’s automatic charging mode when the battery runs out.

In most hybrid models, this activates the combustion engine, but in this case, it recharges the battery.

The version of Lexus RX 450h is completed with 306 hp unit, and capacity of lithium-ion battery is 18,1 kWh. The electric range can reach a maximum of 90 km due to the introduction of a new driving mode «Auto EV/HV».

«HV» is responsible for power redundancy. This makes it possible to make the power plant as efficient as possible.

In EV mode, the electric motor is engaged to the fullest extent, even at full acceleration.

According to previous information, the cost of the Lexus RX is 4.65-6.45 million in the ruble equivalent at the current exchange rate.
