Lincoln has unveiled the Zephyr Reflection luxury sedan.

Lincoln has unveiled a pre-production version of the new Zephyr Reflection premium sedan at the Shanghai Auto Show. The novelty, aimed at the Chinese market, received an aggressive design and a triple multimedia display.

With the new Zephyr Reflection, American engineers have moved away from the classic shapes that most cars of the brand possess.

The luxury sedan received sharp body lines, a massive radiator grille with developed air intakes, as well as narrow LED optics, an elongated hood and retractable door handles.

In addition, the novelty features solid taillights and two-tone wheels.

The main feature of the Lincoln Zephyr Reflection interior is a huge multimedia display located along the dashboard.

The innovative solution combines a digital instrument cluster, a touchscreen infotainment system, and a touch-screen panel located opposite the passenger.

The unique media system, dubbed the Lincoln Constellation, has three design options — Normal, Sport and Zen.

Lincoln representatives have not yet disclosed technical details, as well as the cost of the future novelty.

However, experts have promised that the production version of the Zephyr Reflection will appear before the end of 2021 and will be available exclusively in the Chinese market.

On the eve of the company Ford at the Shanghai Motor Show presented a new crossover Evos. The model received a custom design, a huge infotainment display, and the ability to update «over the air».

The Lincoln Zephyr Reflection has confirmed the brand’s commitment to sedans.

Lincoln seems to have abandoned sedans? In America, yes. The production of passenger models of this brand was discontinued here last year, and the current range consists only of crossovers and SUVs.

But China is another matter: sedans are still in demand here. Therefore, specifically for the local market, Lincoln is preparing a new four-door, the prototype of which was shown at the Shanghai Motor Show.

That is, the history of Lincoln sedans will not be interrupted after all!

The new Lincoln Zephyr Reflection made its debut as a concept car, so the company did not publish the characteristics of the car.

The sedan is about five meters long and has a front-wheel drive platform, and the designers have developed a new iteration of the corporate identity, which features a more aggressive front end design. Lincolns usually look kinder.

The interior is made in the spirit of minimalism — there are very few hidden touch buttons here. But on the front panel there is a huge touch screen of the media system.

Its interface has a separate name Lincoln Constellation («constellation») and has three design options — Normal, Sport and Zen.

Judging by the fact that an almost serial cross-liftback Ford Evos has acquired a similar front panel, this solution will soon be used on many models of the Ford concern.

By the way, the name Zephyr for Lincoln is historical. This was the name of the basic model of the company from 1936 to 1942.

This name was revived in 2005, also for the junior sedan, but in 2006 the company adopted a new model naming scheme and renamed the Zephyr to Lincoln MKZ.

This index was in service until 2020. Well, the third life of the Zephyr name will begin in China: the serial sedan will be presented this year and will become the third Lincoln model of local production (after the Corsair and Aviator crossovers).
