New frame Mahindra Scorpio-N with 7-seater interior is cheaper than a million: Technical specifications have been revealed.

A few days ago official photos revealed the new frame SUV Mahindra Scorpio-N 2022.

The manufacturer has kept silent about the technical specifications. But now the Indian media has published a full list of engines that will be available with the Scorpio-N.

The new SUV received 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine, presented in two versions: 130 and 160 hp.

Instead of it, you can order also a turbocharged 2-liter engine, which develops up to 170 hp.

Let’s mention that the second unit is also mounted on the pre-reformed version of Scorpio.

But in this case the engine develops no more than 120 or 140 hp depending on the chosen version.

Indian SUV after the planned modernization has changed a lot.

But it preserved recognizable appearance. Scorpio-N is equipped with new LED headlights and wider grille with a redesigned pattern.

The front bumper of the SUV became larger due to the increased area of the central and side air intakes.

Each of these engines will be offered with a standard for Scorpio 6-speed «mechanics» and «automat».

As in the case with the pre-reformed version, the novelty will be equipped only with optional all-wheel drive: as standard all the torque goes to the rear axle.

Inside the cabin, the developers will install a choice of six or seven seats. Together with a new SUV will come 8-inch touchscreen, 360-degree cameras, several airbags and security systems, dual-zone climate and other equipment.

Sales of the car will start on June 27th at a price of less than a million rubles (recalculated at current exchange rates).

The new generation of the frame all-terrain vehicle noticeably improved. The model will be offered with gasoline and diesel engines, in addition, it has been promised a lot of «advanced modern features.
The predecessor is not going to retire.

After the publication of several teasers, Indian Mahindra & Mahindra has fully revealed the appearance of its fresh SUV.

According to the official version, it is a completely new model Scorpio-N, in fact, in front of us SUV of the second generation.

The previous all-terrain vehicle remains — it received prefix Classic. We shall remind you that the frame Mahindra Scorpio is produced since 2002 and since then it has gone through several upgrades.

And in 2005 they even tried to sell this model in Russia: for our market it was renamed to Marshal and the assembly was established at GAZ, but the project was closed with only a small batch, because demand for this SUV was not popular here.

Scorpio-N looks more solid than its predecessor. The radiator grille became wider, there are wedges and new emblem of the brand (it is not a butterfly, but Twin Peaks, that is peaks-twins).

Headlights are stretched, turn signals are now dynamic, and fog lights are framed by «horseshoes», which serve the role of running lights.

The taillights are vertical, the luggage door seems to be still hinged.

Instead of protruding in front antenna — a fin in the back of the roof. The size of the model is not named yet. The length of the old Scorpio is 4456 mm and wheelbase is 2680 mm.

The manufacturer hasn’t showed the interior yet, but it was spotted by spy photographers earlier.

Inside there is a new dashboard, center tunnel, steering wheel and dashboard, plus replaced multimedia system.

Expect the SUV to offer with six or seven seats, while its predecessor has eight or even nine (with benches in the trunk).

In addition, the model is promised «advanced modern features» and «the latest technology», but there are no details.

Mahindra Scorpio-N retained the frame construction, and it is announced that the platform is new.

The SUV will be equipped with gasoline and diesel engines, but the company has not disclosed them yet.

Local media promises the Scorpio-N to use petrol turbo four mStallion 2.0 and turbo diesel mHawk 2.2, which are also fitted to the latest all-terrain Mahindra Thar and Mahindra XUV700.

For example, on Thar the first motor produces 152 hp and the diesel — 132 hp. The Scorpio-N will definitely have manual and automatic transmission, as well as rear or all-wheel drive.

The old all-terrain vehicle is available with turbodiesel mHawk 2.2 with 120 or 139 hp, and the less powerful version is equipped with 5-MKP, and the second — with 6-MKP.

Full launch of the new Mahindra Scorpio-N will be held on June 27 this year.

About returning SUV in the Russian Federation, alas, is out of the question, although such an SUV would certainly get accustomed here, especially on the rapidly shrinking market.
