Mazda CX-60 crossover revealed before the premiere.
Literally yesterday Mazda has officially presented a crossover CX-50 designed only for the American market, and the next novelty of the company — a larger and more expensive model Mazda CX-60 has already been «leaked» in the network.

Video posted youtube Japanese channel CSK Review, and the machine in it lighted without a single flap of camouflage: apparently, they managed to catch during the filming of branded promotional video.

The Mazda CX-60 crossover will be the firstborn of a family of large models (Large Product Group), which will have a new, long-awaited platform with a longitudinal engine arrangement, basic rear-wheel drive and a clutch on the front axle.

The range will be international, but Mazda is preparing separate cars for different markets, and the CX-60 model with two rows of seats is intended for Japan and Europe.

A three-row Mazda CX-80 will also be in the range, and their larger counterparts are being prepared for America under the indices CX-70 and CX-90.

As you can see from the screenshots from the «spy» video, Mazda CX-60 will have a recognizable design and «expensive» rear-wheel drive proportions with a solid «distance of prestige» between the front wheel arch and the door.

As the company has already announced, in-line six-cylinder Skyactiv-X (gasoline) and Skyactiv-D (diesel) engines, both with a 48-volt starter generator, are being prepared for these cars, and in addition there will be a complete plug-in hybrid with a four-cylinder gasoline engine.

The official debut of the Mazda CX-60 crossover is just around the corner: apparently, it will take place in early 2022.

The Japanese company Mazda which recently declared a course on updating the lineup, actively works on one of the future novelties.

The majority of experts are sure that it will be a completely new crossover under the index CX-60 that will receive a hybrid engine.

Graphic designers recreated visuals of the future novelty. Documents from the Japanese patent register, which got in general access to the Internet, are taken as the basis.

Therefore, how accurate the model is we will know after the first official photos.

Meanwhile, official photos and statements still have to wait. Mazda has surrounded creation of this model with an atmosphere of exclusive secrecy.

It is known only that the novelty should appear in Japan and Europe during 2022, without any specifics.

According to the studied diagrams from patent documents, the new CX-60 will inherit the basic design of its predecessors.

It will be most similar to the CX-5. However, experts note that differences will be still noticeable — the novelty promises to be lower, but longer than the successful and all-too-familiar parket.

Probably it is made for the sake of increase of space in the cabin.

Thus, it is supposed that the Mazda CX-60 2022 will receive new grille, which will protrude with a visor over even more shifted back headlights.

As reflected in the schematics, the lighting elements will be spread across the front of the crossover.

Most likely, the crossover will be developed on a rear-wheel-drive platform, where the new Mazda 6 will definitely be placed.

No one doubts that the CX-60 coming out in 2022 will get several gasoline and diesel engines with proprietary SkyActiv technology, as well as a pair of hybrid powertrains.
