Mercedes-AMG EQE 43 2023.

The electric sedan Mercedes-Benz EQE has received two versions from AMG.

The Germans have officially introduced an electric sedan Mercedes-Benz EQE in September twenty-first, and then it was announced only the base rear-wheel drive model EQE 350.

Now there was a premiere of two higher all-wheel-drive versions — this is the Mercedes-AMG EQE 43 4Matic and EQE 53 4Matic +. Both «charged» four-doors have similar appearance.

They can be distinguished from the normal version of the model by the presence of other bumpers and a black plug instead of the grille, which here comes with vertical bars.

And they also have an enlarged spoiler on the trunk lid. In base the top «electric cars» are equipped with «Digital Light» headlights, which are able to «draw» on the road cues for the driver.

By default, these sedans have 21-inch wheels, but you can order a 22-inch for extra money.

Of the interior features are AMG-decor, as well as branded seats and steering wheel.

As an option, you can order a Hyperscreen panel with three displays under a single glass.

The Mercedes-AMG EQE 43 4Matic and EQE 53 4Matic+ have a curb weight of 2,525 kg.

Both sedans are all-wheel drive, that is equipped with two electric motors. The traction battery has a capacity of 90.6 kWh.

Specifically, the «forty-third» has a total capacity of 476 hp and 858 Nm.

Acceleration from a place to a hundred is possible for 4.2 seconds, but only if the battery is charged more than half (otherwise the dynamics will be a little worse).

Maximum speed is limited to 210 km / h, and ride without charging EQE 43 can go up to 533 km (on the cycle WLTP).

In turn, the «fifty-third» has modified motors with a different winding for a larger current, as well as new inverters and more advanced liquid cooling system.

Total output of the units here reaches 626 horsepower and 950 Nm. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h is possible in 3.5 seconds and the claimed maximum speed — 220 km/h. Mileage on a single charge is up to 518 km.

With this, the EQE 53 is also offered with the optional AMG Dynamic Plus package with the «Race Start» preset, with the activation of which the electric motors can deliver up to 687 «horses» and 1,000 Nm of torque for a short time.

In this case acceleration from 0-100 km/h is possible for 3,3 seconds, and it is possible to accelerate a car up to 240 km/h. By the way, the requirement to the battery charge level is more strict here — at least 70%.

The default AC charger for electric cars has a capacity of 11 kW (for extra charge — 22 kW). The DC charger has a capacity of up to 170 kW.

Both «charged» sedans are equipped with AMG Ride Control+ chassis with air suspension with the appropriate AMG settings.

Plus the Germans used in the design of the running gear more rigid bearings, as well as the original levers, stabilizers and hubs.

In Sport and Sport+ presets clearance is reduced by 15 mm, and in Comfort mode — the sedan presses on the ground only at speeds over 120 km/h.

There is also a fully steerable chassis, where at speeds up to 60 km/h, the rear wheels turn in the opposite direction to the front wheels at an angle of up to 3.6 degrees.

At speeds above this they turn in the same direction. The wheels are equipped with six-piston brakes with 415-millimeter discs at the front and single-piston brakes with 378-millimeter discs at the rear.

Carbon-ceramic mechanisms with 440-millimeter discs at the front are available as an option.

Plus, the presented AMG-versions can boast a regular engine sound generator.

The latter works through the regular audio system, and there are several sound presets to choose from (Balanced, Sport and Powerful).

In cars with the mentioned AMG Dynamic Plus package is also available in the most «loud» mode Performance.

Start of sales of the new Mercedes-AMG EQE 43 4Matic and EQE 53 4Matic + is scheduled at the same time with the base EQE 350, that is, in the summer of ’22. The cost of cars has not yet been advertised.
