Atelier Renntech has prepared a 1,066-horsepower variant of the Mercedes-AMG GT.
German tuners from Renntech atelier have presented supposedly the most powerful variant of Mercedes-AMG GT coupe in the world.
The modification was based on the Black Series version. It received aerodynamic kit made of carbon fiber and spectacular forged wheels.
A roll cage is added to its interior. However, the main feature of the car is a seriously boosted engine.
From the factory, the model is equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which at the most powerful (track) version produces 734 hp (850 Nm).
However, the specialists of the workshop managed to bring the output of the unit to an impressive 1,066 hp and 1,127 Nm of torque.
These figures were recorded during testing of the engine on the diagnostic test.
It is reported that in the process of modifications the engine received a new supercharger and another control unit.
In addition, the coupe is equipped with a high-performance exhaust system.
Modified in this way the two-door is able to «shoot» from a place up to a hundred in about 3.0 seconds (- 0.2 seconds compared to the donor car).
It can accelerate up to 352 km/h (+ 27). But the cost of tuning is not specified.
Although specialists Renntech and position the novelty as the most powerful version of AMG GT in the world, but it’s not quite true.
Tuners claim they have built the most powerful AMG GT in the world, which turned out to be even more powerful than the standard 1001-horsepower Bugatti Veyron.
Nevertheless, the result that was announced about a year ago by Opus Automotive, the tuners were not able to overlap.
Back in March of the twenty-first century this title was reserved by Opus Automotive who brought up the engine of the model to 1,111 «horses».
It received aerodynamic dodger made of carbon fiber and spectacular forged wheels.
Its cabin was equipped with a safety cage. However, the main feature of the car is a seriously boosted engine.
