One of 25 copies of the Mercedes SLR McLaren 722 from the MSO studio is being sold at a foreign auction.

The price of a rare car is $ 3,100,000 or 228,675,530 rubles.

The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren supercar was produced in the period from 2003 to 2009, while the variant with the index «722» was the most desirable and rare performance of the model.

After the completion of production of the two-door, the British division of McLaren Special Operations (MSO) additionally modified 25 copies of the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722. Now one of these cars is sold in Germany.

Back in 2003, Mercedes-Benz and McLaren teamed up to create the iconic SLR long before Mercedes-AMG developed its own sports cars such as the SLS and GT.

To differentiate it from the regular SLR, MSO has fitted it with an aerodynamic body kit that includes new front and rear bumpers, a unique grille, a new bonnet and a more aggressive diffuser.

It also features unique wheels and a titanium exhaust system. MSO redesigned the steering and suspension and installed new ceramic brakes to improve stopping power.
