Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross 2023.

Mitsubishi has decided once again to update the Eclipse Cross crossover, which is in limited demand in Russia.

So far the changes have touched the model presented abroad.

According to the published information, Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross 2023 now in all versions is equipped with all-wheel drive, created on the basis of the transmission, which is used in rally cars.

The 2023 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross gets new performance and all-wheel drive.

For the first time, the Eclipse Cross has all-wheel drive as a standard feature throughout the model lineup.

According to Mitsubishi, it is not just an all-wheel drive system, but inspired by victories in the WRC and Dakar rally races.

Super All-Wheel Control is the name of this dynamic all-wheel drive technology. On paper, it looks very powerful.

We are talking about the Super All-Wheel Control system. This all-wheel drive not only automatically redistributes torque between the axles.

It combines anti-lock brakes and active stability control systems, which provides better handling and traction on the road, regardless of its type.

Additionally, this transmission includes an electronically controlled axle differential.

In other words, the new Eclipse Cross is more drivable and stable than ever.

Instead of simply distributing torque between the front and rear wheels depending on conditions, it combines both ABS, Active Stability Control and Mitsubishi Active Yaw Control for improved handling and traction.

With these tools and an electronically controlled inter-axle differential, the Eclipse Cross should prove more stable than ever before.

At the same time, it still doesn’t seem worthy of the historically sporty name it carries.

Under the hood is still a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with just 152 hp and 246 Nm.

It makes slightly more power than the 1995 Eclipse coupe, while weighing about 272 pounds more. It also sends all that power to the wheels via a variator.

The Japanese model still comes with a 152-horsepower, 1.5-liter turbocharged engine.

Its maximum torque does not exceed 246 N*m. This unit is combined with a variator without any alternative.

It means that working on improvement of passability Mitsubishi did not increase towing capacity of the crossover.

Aside from the all-wheel-drive system, there’s not much new in the 2023 Eclipse Cross.

Mitsubishi says it has added new 18-inch wheels, new exterior trim, and an all-new rear hatch and window.

All upgrades are now available for the Eclipse Cross, which is sold in the U.S.

The Japanese model is priced at a minimum of $2,595 in the U.S. market, while the top-end version is being asked for $3,195.

The pluses of the Eclipse Cross include a long warranty: it is one of the longest among all compact crossovers.

In addition to introducing efficient all-wheel drive, Mitsubishi has equipped its model with new 18-inch wheels and an electric sunroof.
