Mitsubishi Outlander 2022. Car enthusiasts had to wait longer than originally planned for the release of the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander because of the transition to a new platform.

But it did happen. Today, the car is available in the U.S. market in eight configurations: ES, ES with Convenience Package, SE, SE Launch Edition, SE + Tech Package, SEL, SEL S-AWC Launch Edition and SEL with Touring Option.

In other countries, the cross is just getting ready to debut. This car is assembled on the same platform as the X-Trail, but the photo shows that these cars are completely different by design.

In Russia the crossover from Mitsubishi will appear next year. It will compete with the above-mentioned model from Nissan, as well as with such cars as Renault Koleos, Volkswagen Tiguan, Mazda CX-5 and other cars from this segment.

Technical Specifications

Mitsubishi Outlander 2022 in the new body is assembled on a newly developed platform. Its specifications provide a high level of comfort.

The basic configuration of the car in America is equipped with a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine with 184 horsepower.

The unit works together with an eight-speed variator. More powerful three-liter engine produces as much as 230 horsepower.

Both front-wheel drive and the proprietary Super All-Wheel Control all-wheel drive transmission are available in all trims.

Also recently there is a rechargeable hybrid version. According to the latest forecasts, for Russia the engine lineup of the new Outlander will include two-liter «atmospheric» engine with 144 hp.

In the USA the car has a clearance of 211 millimeters (4 millimeters less, than in actual Outlander), therefore there are no serious changes in the plan of geometrical permeability.

The size of the car has become more than its predecessor. Body length is 4709 mm (+14 mm), width is 1897 mm (+87 mm), and height is 1745 mm (+42 mm).

All these changes in dimensions were made because of the new design of the body, and the proportions of the car itself in general remain the same.

The new Outlander has a wheelbase of 2705 millimeters (+35 mm). It means that the interior of the automobile became more spacious.

Therefore, a seven-seat layout of seats with three rows was added. The standard trunk has a volume of 331 liters, but if you fold one rear row of seats, it will increase to 949 liters.

The maximum capacity is set at 2257 liters. Thanks to the use of strong steel, the body became more rigid, and this, in turn, has a positive effect on the balance of ride and handling.

Options and prices

In the States, Mitsubishi Outlander is presented in eight configurations, each of which differs in the level of equipment and price.

Almost for all configurations the firm system of a full drive Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) is accessible. Its presence or absence also affects the final price.

ES
In the starting configuration ES car with 2WD costs 25,800 dollars, the equivalent of 1.9 million rubles at the current exchange rate, and 2 million rubles for the option with all-wheel drive.

In complete set ES with a package of conveniences there are the same options, but eighteen-inch disks are changed for twenty-inch, and also the system Mitsubishi Connect with Safeguard and Remote Services (there is a free trial version for two years) is added.

The price for such variant with front drive is 2 million rubles, and with full — 2,1 million rubles.

SE
The next is SE variant with 2,12 million rubles with 2WD and 2,25 million rubles with all-wheel drive.

There is also a variation of SE with the Tech Package. It includes 12,3-inch multimedia screen, premium BOSE audio system and panoramic electric sunroof.

Cost of Outlander in such complete set — 2,3 million rubles for front drive and 2,42 million rubles for a variant with S-AWC.

In special limited version SE Launch Edition the same options are present (except for Mi-PILOT Assist), and also logo Ground, chromeplate on a cowl, Amazon Echo Auto with subscription for three months and backlight Dynamic Shield.

Cost of such Mitsubishi Outlander with a full drive makes 2,4 million rubles, and with front drive — 2,3 million rubles.

SEL
On the next step comes the SEL package, which includes all SE options, as well as such equipment as:

leather upholstery seats;
memory adjustment of the driver’s seat;
adjustment of the front passenger seat;
roof rails;
heated rear rows of seats;
three-zone climate control.

With front-wheel drive SEL costs 2,4 million rubles. Dealers ask 2,5 million rubles for a version with a Super All-Wheel Control system.

The seventh configuration is a limited edition SEL S-AWC Launch Edition, which is offered exclusively with all-wheel drive for 2.7 million rubles.

The latest SEL configuration with a tourist package is priced at 2,5 million rubles for the version with front drive and 2,7 million rubles for the variant with 4WD.

Design

The car’s exterior has changed cardinally. The model has received a monolithic, stylish and aggressive at the same time.

The most remarkable is the front part of the Mitsubishi Outlander 2022. Here you can see popular nowadays three-row headlights.

Between the optics of the first row there is a decorative radiator grille with a non-standard pattern. The sloping roof, spoiler and stubbing going from taillights to edge of doors create sports style from the side.

The interior of the new Outlander received a lot of decorative elements, which give the car a more «expensive» look.

The materials used in the interior are of the highest quality, including leather, fabrics, aluminum and plastic.
