Mugen Honda Integra Type R 2024.

The first independent renders of the Mugen Honda Integra Type R 2024 sports car have been presented.

The once iconic sports car has retained its recognizable shapes and proportions, but looks even more aggressive.

The author of this rendering was independent designer Jordan Rubinstein-Towler, who is in no way affiliated with Acura or Honda.

The renders published by CarsCoops show a new generation Honda Integra Type R that has been in the hands of Mugen tuners.

The standard sports car was presented last August.

The sports car on the renders features a modified grille and a small air intake just under the hood.

There is also a noticeable vent to divert hot air from the engine compartment on the hood.

Flared wheel arches, spectacular side skirts and glossy black Mugen wheels add even more aggression to the design of the car.

At the rear, there is a towering wing and a pronounced diffuser with a single exhaust pipe on the right side.

If the new Integra Type R were produced and looked like this, it would certainly be in good demand.

Following the Integra sedan for China, which will be sold under the Honda brand name, a variant for the North American market, the Acura Integra, has been introduced.

In the U.S., the name revived after 15 years went to a five-door liftback with a sloping roof, based on the Honda Civic eleventh generation.

Sports car debuted in prototype status, with youth premium looks and turbocharged engine from the Civic Si, and the production version will be shown in 2022.

At the same time, Acura will reveal the rest of the details about the «technique».

The Integra with Acura nameplate is made in style of other models of the brand.

The liftback got the company’s grille Diamond Pentagon, devoid of frame, and LED headlights with strokes-chic-lights.

The body color borrowed from the NSX is Indy Yellow Pearl, a reference to the Phoenix Yellow shade that was part of the 2000-2001 Integra Type R range.

The prototype also gets 19-inch wheels with matte spokes and Brembo brakes with calipers in body color.

Integra is based on the chassis of Honda Civic 11-generation, and the liftback engine is borrowed from «charged» Civic Si.

The sedan «turbo four» 1.5 develops 203 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque.

It will be paired with a variator, but enthusiasts will also be offered a six-speed manual gearbox. Also a limited slip differential is available.

The Acura Integra will be assembled next year in Marysville, Ohio, on the same line as the TLX.

Before that the Integra was not produced in the U.S. — they were imported from Japan. The cost of the revived model will be about $30,000 (2.2 million rubles).
