New Dacia Sandero Stepway 2023. To all appearances, the analogue of the last cross-hatch Dacia Sandero Stepway under Renault brand is preparing for the premiere. Such «five-door» will differ from the original model externally, and not the fact that it will keep its name familiar to Russians.

Under Dacia brand budget sedan Logan and hatchback Sandero of the third generation debuted in 2020.

A year later a new «four-door» added to the lineup and brand Renault, but this model is still available only in Turkey, and there it is not Logan, and already Taliant, in addition the model has its own design.

And a fresh hatchback Renault Sandero on sale nowhere so far has not appeared.

Meanwhile, in Romania, the homeland of Dacia, caught disguised «five-door», the video was published on his YouTube channel user Pal Lucian.

The description of the video says that this is a restyled hatchback Dacia Sandero, or rather its crossover version Stepway.

But in one of the shots we can see that on the hood there is a cutout under the Renault diamond. It means the «crossover» of the parent company is prepared for the premiere.

By the way, not the fact that the model will keep the name Renault Sandero: it is expected, for example, in South America, and there they believe that Renault will position the car as a completely new entry-level parkettes.

Proportions and silhouette are the same as of the current cross-hatch Dacia Sandero Stepway, but the front and rear are designed differently.

Thus, the caught «five-door» has multilevel headlights: there are diode running lights on top, blocks of main headlights below and fog lights below them.

The bumpers, grille and lights will be different as well, in addition the rear license plate will be moved to the luggage door (it will also be replaced).

There’s no information about the technology yet. In Europe, Dacia Sandero and Sandero Stepway now available with petrol «atmospheric» 1.0 SCe (65 hp) and «turbo» 1.0 TCe (90 hp), plus you can choose 1.0 Eco-G biofuel engine (gasoline and propane, 100 hp). Transmissions are manual or variator.

Presentation of the new «crossover» Renault, probably, will be held this year.

In the meantime, before the special operation, the French brand planned to present two novelties in Russia: it was thought that they will be fresh Logan and Sandero (but then again we cannot rule out that they would have received other names).

Moreover, both models have been already caught during tests in Russia, and even through camouflage it was visible that a hatch has almost the same design, as the hero of this news (that is, it was a cross-version).

Now the new Renault, apparently, we do not see: according to preliminary data, the company will sell its share in AVTOVAZ (in Togliatti collected Logan/Sandero previous generation), as well as the Moscow plant.
