New generation Buick Envision 2021.

The Chinese have declassified the new generation Buick Envision 2021 crossover.

Buick has partially declassified the new (second) generation Envision crossover in development.

From the first official photos, it becomes clear that the front of the model is now made in the current corporate style of the brand, which is characterized by narrow «fanged» headlights and a shield-shaped radiator grill.

Also, the new 2021 Buick Envision received a longer hood and leaner sidewalls, which made the car’s silhouette more solid. There are no photos of the salon yet, but it is known that this crossover will be the first model of the brand with a new multimedia system.

The latter will boast a 10.0-inch touchscreen, as well as support for Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, Pandora and Spotify interfaces.

The dimensions of Buick NVision 2021 have not yet been advertised, although the developers report that the car has become lower and wider than its predecessor.

In the US, the crossover will be offered with a 2.0-liter turbo four, working in tandem with a nine-speed automatic.

Apparently, we are talking about the engine that comes with the Cadillac XT4 crossover. At the latter, this unit produces 241 hp. (350 Nm).

Probably, the new NVision can be ordered with both front and all-wheel drive. There is no other information about the technical «stuffing» yet, but it is known that the SUV will already have a whole arsenal of electronic assistants in the database, including automatic braking, a parking assistant with a rear-view camera, and a lane-keeping system.

The new Buick Envision is expected to premiere in the coming months. First, the SUV will appear in China, while in the United States, its sales will begin no earlier than 2021.

Later, the luxurious modification of the Avenir will have to join the regular version, prices will be announced later.

Buick teases with a teaser for the Envision Plus three-row crossover ahead of its imminent premiere.

The public debut of the novelty is expected very soon: it will be held on April 18 at the Shanghai Motor Show.

The General Motors brand Buick launched the Envision crossover in 2014. The model is produced only in China at the facilities of the joint venture GM and SAIC.

But the car is not exclusive: cars are supplied and sold in the USA. The second-generation SUV was introduced last year, in China it is sold simultaneously with the first-generation cars under the name Envision S (it is also produced in China, but at a different plant — in the same place where the production of Cadillac cars is established).

Sales of the five-seat Buick Envision crossover have grown over the past year, both in China and the United States.

Celestial dealers managed to sell 167,880 copies (+ 26.6%) during the «covid» 2020, and customers in the United States bought 34,942 cars (+ 5.2%).

These are very impressive results against the backdrop of a seriously sagging global car market.

Now the company is preparing another new product that will expand the family — Envision Plus.

The car is a three-row mid-size crossover, which in the Chinese market will be one step higher than Envision and Envision S.

The premiere of the new item will take place on April 18 at the Shanghai Auto Show, but for now the company has decided to tease fans of the model with a teaser.

The Plus profile is visible on it, however, the lower part is almost completely hidden.

However, the appearance of the novelty was declassified earlier: photographs of a three-row crossover appeared in the database of the Chinese Ministry of Industry.

It is known that Envision Plus will be larger in comparison with the «usual» current SUV, in addition, its wheelbase has grown by 54 mm (up to 2833 mm).

Judging by the available images, the new item will have a slightly modified front bumper with integrated air intakes.

Also, the Envision Plus is expected to have different rear doors and a revised stern: the tailgate will be less sloping, the lights will have a different shape, while they will be connected by a chrome decorative strip, and the reflectors will move higher.

There is little official information about the «stuffing»: Buick noted that the new Envision received an advanced GM platform, which is used for premium crossovers, a new power plant, a Buick eConnect system and a set of driver assistants.

According to preliminary information, under the hood, the Buick Envision Plus will have the same engine that is now equipped with the «Chinese» Envision S.

We are talking about a 2.0-liter I4 turbo engine, its output is 237 hp, and the maximum torque is 350 Nm.

The engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. From zero to «hundreds» of a five-seater crossover accelerates in 7.5 seconds, and its maximum speed is 210 km / h.

It is assumed that the three-row crossover will be sold not only in China, but also in the American market.

Prices will be announced later. In the United States, the initial cost of the current crossover is $ 31,800 (equivalent to about 2.48 million rubles at the current exchange rate).
