The new 1000-horsepower Maserati Quattroporte will be the brand’s first electric car.

Maserati continues to showcase its innovative approach to automotive manufacturing, with the new Quattroporte already in the spotlight.

According to company CEO Davide Grasso, this will be the first Maserati to be exclusively electric, further underscoring the brand’s leadership in innovation.

The novelty will replace the current Ghibli model on its own platform and, according to the company’s management, will incorporate all the most modern and advanced.

Visually, the new Quattroporte promises to surprise with its originality and unparalleled style. The car will be smaller than its previous version, but will still be larger than the Ghibli.

It is also expected that the novelty will be available at a higher price, starting from 150-170 thousand euros.

General details of the technology and power plant of the new Quattroporte remain unknown, but it has been reported that the car could be based on an architecture similar to that used in Alfa Romeo’s Giulia.

Rumors also claim that the new Quattroporte will be based on the STLA Medium platform, which will be used in four Stellantis platforms.

This could bring the Quadrifoglio variant to 1,000 hp. and will also be used in the Trofeo version of the new Quattroporte.

According to Autocar, the upgraded Quattroporte is worth waiting for in 2024 — and it will be a full-fledged electric car. A year later, Maserati will introduce an electric Levante.

As for the output of the Quattroporte electric sedan, it will not exceed the 760 hp mark declared for the Granturismo.
