Nissan Altima 2022.

The updated Nissan Altima sedan has received a more sporty appearance.

Nissan has updated the Altima sedan (known in Russia as the Teana) for the North American market.

In the course of planned restyling Japanese tried to make the model of the current generation a little more sporty.

In terms of exterior design they have changed the four-door design of the front end: the car has another grille and new bumper.

And the updated model received a completely LED headlights (already in base), although the form of the headlights remained the same.

The developers also expanded the color palette of the body and put the car on the wheels of a new design.

Note that the Altima SR variant is shown on the demonstration photos.

It can be distinguished from the base model by 19-inch wheels, black trim and a spoiler on the trunk lid, which became slightly larger after the upgrade.

In the Nissan Altima FL interior, the dashboard graphics and fine décor have been revised.

The base sedan still has an 8.0-inch screen of the multimedia system, while the top units got a new complex with a 12.3-inch widescreen display.

The latter not only has improved graphics, but also boasts wireless support for Apple CarPlay interface (Android Auto support only by wire).

The powertrain lineup for the restyled model remains the same.

In the States, the sedan is equipped by default with a 2.5-liter atmospheric engine, which produces 191 hp on front-wheel drive versions, and 185 hp on all-wheel drive ones.

But the Altima SR has already a 2.0-liter motor VC-Turbo developing 251 «kobyls».

This sedan has only front-wheel drive, but there is a sport suspension.

Both mentioned engines work in tandem with a variator.

As for equipment, the model has an expanded set of electronic assistants Safety Shield 360, which includes auto braking (including when reversing), monitoring «blind spots» with round-view cameras, as well as a system of road marking control.

But the adaptive cruise control ProPilot is a paid option, and it remained old on the restyling sedan (Japanese did not update it to the second generation for some reason).

In the U.S. market restyled Altima should debut in the fall of the twenty-second.

Most likely, the sedan will add a little price: pre-reformed version now costs $ 24,900 (1.45 million rubles at current exchange rate).

In parallel, the Japanese are also working on an updated version of the model for the Chinese market.

It will be presented by the end of summer 2022, but the local certification body has already revealed its appearance.

Judging by the photos (cars in red), restyling sedan for China will get more significant changes, namely gaining their own bumpers, grille and modified headlights and lights.

Technically the sedans for the local market will remain the same: here they are offered only with front-wheel drive, and the engine choices are 2.0-liter 156 hp Atmospheric and 2.0-liter turbo-motor VC-Turbo with 243 hp.
