Mitsubishi 4000GT sports car: new Japanese supercar.

Once the Japanese company Mitsubishi was famous not only for its sedans and SUVs, but also created impressive sports cars. And one of these models was the Mitsubishi 3000GT.

It was a sports coupe that was unveiled at the 1989 Tokio Motor Show. A year later, this coupe made it to the conveyor and was produced until mid-2000.

For ten years of its existence, the 3000GT model received two generations. It was a bullet that was sold in the markets of many countries and was madly loved by the public.

In the local market, it was called GTO, in the North and Latin American markets, it was harvested at Chrysler factories and sold under the name Dodge Stealth. But in the markets of Europe and here in Russia it was known as 3000GT.

The main competitors of this sports coupe were the Nissan 300Z, Skyline GT-R and Toyota Supra. And what is most interesting, it was the 3000GT that had the best sales at first, as it won in the price / quality combination.

Surprisingly, only the front doors, the trunk lid and the roof remained from the original station wagon on the «er-es-six» — all other body panels are different.
