Polestar 2 BST Edition 270 2023.

The Polestar 2 liftback has a «hot» version.

As expected, the prototype shown at last year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed was not built from scratch.

Although the developers and disowned it, the ultimate goal was to develop a marketable top version of the Polestar 2 liftback.

And this process was divided into several stages.

Back in the fall in the wake of that prototype created a proprietary tuning kit: Polestar officially offers electric motors increase from 408 hp and 660 Nm to 476 hp and 680 Nm for all-wheel drive «two».

Now there is a separate modification called Polestar 2 BST Edition 270.

For the basis is taken all-wheel drive Polestar 2 Long Range Performance with the same tuning package.

The battery remains standard — 78 kW∙h. And the main improvements are in the running gear.

The suspension is equipped with adjustable Öhlins shock absorbers with outrigger reservoirs, spring stiffness is increased by 20% and ground clearance is reduced by 25 mm.

The lightweight 21-inch wheels are taken from the Polestar 1 small production coupe and the tires are Pirelli P Zero.

However, Brembo brakes with four-piston mechanisms remained standard, from the optional Performance package, although last year’s prototype had even more powerful Akebono front brakes with six-piston mechanisms.

Externally, Polestar 2 BST Edition 270 differs from the standard liftback only plastic body-colored dodger (originally it was black) and black mirror housings.

For the «sports» stripes will have to pay extra. Brake calipers, shock absorbers and seat belts have a gold color, as stipulated in the Performance package.

For now, it’s only a small special edition: 270 copies are specified in the name, these softbacks will be sold in Europe, North America and China. Deliveries will start in the fourth quarter.

As an additional option, a black stripe can be applied to the body, it will cost $1,000 (61,470 rubles).

Brake calipers, seat belts and a few other elements are painted in a golden hue.

A total of 270 units of this edition will be created, 47 of which will go to the United States. Production will start closer to the fall of this year.

The cost of Polestar 2 BST Edition 270 2023 starts from $75,500 (4,640,985 rubles).
