The Swedish brand Polestar has announced the appearance of a coupe convertible called Polestar 6 2026.
The forerunner of the model is the all-electric sports car Polestar O2, which was presented in March 2022.
Huge interest in the concept has prompted the development of a production version. It is expected to appear in 2026.
According to CEO Thomas Ingenlath, the future Polestar 6 is a car that combines powerful electric performance with the thrill of an open-top ride.
Although the roadster won’t be available until 2026, you can book the car now.
The fact that the concept will get a production sequel was announced at Monterey Auto Week.
At the heart of the Polestar O2 concept is a specialized aluminum platform, which is the development of the Swedish company for the Polestar 5 sports sedan.
The latter, by the way, should go on sale in 2024. The Polestar 6 convertible will be equipped with 800-volt electric architecture.
Additional technical details and characteristics of the novelty will be published before the official launch in 2026.
The debut batch of the coupe-cabriolet is called Polestar 6 LA Concept Edition.
It will include 500 cars. These cars are already available for online booking in all markets where the brand is represented.
The deposit is 1.53 million in Russian currency terms and the cost of a Polestar luxury cabriolet reaches 12.28 million rubles.
However, this figure is not final and can be influenced by many factors. As for the design of the serial version, it will be maximally close to the concept.
The car is made in sky blue color, and its interior is decorated in light shades.
As for the power capabilities, the convertible is powered by a twin-engine unit.
Its output maximum is 884 «horsepower». Traction torque is equal to 900 Nm.
The exercise of acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is performed in 3.2 seconds, the maximum speed is 250 km/h.
