Porsche Panamera 2024.

Spotted test prototype Porsche Panamera with unusual wheels: it may be a more powerful version of the sedan.

Normally, wheels with central locking are not used on cars for public roads.

They require a lot of torque from the engine. More often than not, these types of wheels are present on track models because they leave more room for the braking system.

In the network appeared «spy» pictures of the test prototype Porsche Panamera 2024 just with these wheels.

We should say at once that this is not a production version of the sedan. This is a prototype with an updated and camouflaged body.

There is also a chance that this is just a mule on which they are evaluating the rims with central locking to install them on another model.

However, there’s no denying that the German brand is preparing a more powerful version of the Panamera.

Perhaps such variant will appear in the next model range.

Such a version sounds very interesting if you consider that now the sedan in the Turbo S E-Hybrid configuration already has almost 700 horsepower.

We haven’t previously seen such locking wheels on any Porsche test prototype, whether it’s the next-generation Panamera or the powerful 911 GT3 RS.

In addition, you can see in the photo that there are very large brake calipers behind the discs.

Maybe the German company is preparing a Panamera GT3. We now know that the new generation sedan will take some styling elements from the electric Taycan.

Now all the front and rear changes are carefully hidden, but if Porsche is preparing a GT3 version, we will have to see more «wild» aerodynamic elements.

We can’t see the interior of the car in the photo, but we can assume that a safety cage is installed inside.

If the Panamera gets a powerful GT3 variant, it will have to face the Jaguar and Mercedes models for the title of the fastest sedan at the Nürburgring.

Unfortunately, it is still difficult to see the exterior of the prototype spotted on the road, as the body is hidden under thick camouflage.

If this is a «hot» version of the GT3, we should expect an aerodynamic package.

Now there is no such detail. There is no opportunity to consider the interior of the car.

In general, we can only wait for more details about the model, which in any case should appear.
