Competitor Ford F-150 Lightning: Stellantis showed the appearance of the serial pickup Ram 1500 REV.

Information about the technique is not yet available. The production of a completely “green” truck will begin in 2024, and the model will reach dealers at the end of the same year.

The American brand Ram is part of the young auto giant Stellantis, which appeared as a result of the merger of the PSA group and the FCA concern.

To date, the brand’s bestseller is the Ram Pickup.

In the near future, the line will be expanded with an all-electric “relative”: at the beginning of last month, the “green” pickup truck debuted as a Ram 1500 Revolution BEV concept, and now the manufacturer has shown a commercial version.

The serial electric truck was named Ram 1500 REV.

So far, the auto giant has declassified only the appearance of the novelty, as well as some details about the «stuffing».

As it turned out, the product version of the novelty in appearance is more similar to the current Ram 1500 with gasoline and diesel engines than to the concept that was presented at CES last month.

From the current pickup truck, presented in 2018, he got the cab and cargo compartment with the same sidewalls, but in the design of the front and stern, the features of the show car are visible.

So, in front of the model, there is a similar head optics with LED stripes of running lights diverging from the center.

Between them, on the plug that takes the place of the radiator grille, there is a luminous logo in the form of the brand name.

In addition, the “train” received “L-shaped” taillights and rims of a different design.

The interior of the Ram 1500 REV hasn’t been officially revealed yet, but it did appear in a commercial.

Probably, the interior of the “electric train” almost completely repeats the interior of the Ram 1500 pickup truck with an internal combustion engine; however, there are differences, one of them was the presence of a passenger screen on the front panel.

Recall that the concept with the addition of Revolution on the front panel does not have a dashboard (even digital), the manufacturer replaced it with a projection display.

By the way, there is another projector installed outside the body: with its help you can watch movies, like in a street cinema.

The touchscreen of the multimedia system consists of two screens with a diagonal of 14.2 inches each, while the position of the upper half can be adjusted, and the lower part can be removed and used separately in the cabin.

As previously reported, the Ram 1500 REV is based on the new frame platform STLA Frame.

The company still keeps most of the data about the technique a secret. The manufacturer said that the power reserve on a single charge will be about 800 km.

It is worth noting that this result is noticeably higher than that of one of the main competitors — the Ford F-150 Lightning in the Extended Range version with a 131 kWh battery is 515 km (calculated according to the EPA cycle).

More technical details will be released as part of the full debut over the next few months.
