Rimac Nevera 2022. Electric hypercar with nearly 2000 hp.

In two thousand and eighteenth, the Croatian company Rimac Automobili presented a conceptual electric hypercar C_Two, and now the developers have declassified a version of this two-door, ready for release.

Interestingly, on the way to the series, the car changed its name: it will be sold under the name «Nevera». In Croatian, this word is used to refer to sudden and violent Mediterranean storms.

The production Rimac Nevera is quite different from the aforementioned concept.

Externally, the body kit has changed on the hypercar, which allowed the developers to significantly improve the aerodynamics of the car (+ 34%).

To achieve the desired result, the developers have corrected the shape of the front splitter, hood, roof pillars and rear diffuser.

Plus, the model got different flaps and radiators, and also received revised air ducts. At low speeds, this improved the cooling of the power plant and braking system by 30%, and at high speeds by 7%.

The developers proudly note the presence of a number of active aerodynamic components on the car, due to which the body of the Rimac Nevera can be made both as streamlined as possible, and its downforce can be improved due to the «bristling» body kit.

In the first case, the air resistance coefficient decreases to 0.3, and in the second, the downforce increases by 326%.

In the double cabin of the hypercar, three high-resolution displays are installed at once. One of them is used as a dashboard, the second is given for the needs of the multimedia system, and the third is for the passenger.

At the same time, the company did not completely abandon analog buttons, retaining pleasant to the touch aluminum knobs and levers on the front panel.

As for the technical side of the project, the new Rimac Nevera is built on the basis of a carbon fiber monocoque with an H-shaped traction battery integrated into the power structure of the body.

According to the manufacturer, this design is «incredibly strong» and also provides the machine with a low center of gravity and almost perfect axle weight distribution (48/52).

The power plant of the model consists of four electric motors (one on each wheel). In total, they produce 1,914 hp. and 2360 Nm, receiving energy from a traction battery with a capacity of 120 kWh.

It is reported that from zero to hundreds of 2 150-kilogram two-door is capable of «firing» in 1.97 seconds. Acceleration from 0-300 km / h is also impressive — just 9.3 seconds.

Drive a quarter mile (402 meters) dreg distance for a car in 8.3 seconds. The maximum speed is declared at around 412 kilometers per hour.

Brembo carbon ceramic brakes with six-piston calipers ensure efficient and safe stopping. Plus, the model’s equipment list includes a regenerative braking system, which is used to its fullest.

A full charge of the said battery is enough for the car for 547 kilometers (according to the WLTP cycle).

At the same time, the coupe supports high-speed charging with a capacity of 500 kilowatts, due to which the battery can be replenished from 0-80% in just 22 minutes.

The Croatian hypercar has seven different driving presets at once: Sport, Drift, Comfort, Range, Track, as well as two custom ones that allow you to customize the car specifically for yourself.

At the same time, the AI ​​Driver Coach system, which is an electronic assistant based on artificial intelligence, is called upon to help the driver unleash the potential of the car.

The latter can give various driving advice, while 13 cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors, 6 radars and the Pegasus operating system from NVIDIA are responsible for its performance.

Note that this assistant will not be available immediately — it will appear on cars only in 2022, while the owners of already purchased cars will be able to activate it through an over-the-air update.

In total, the Croats will build 150 copies of the Rimac Nevera at a price of $ 2.4 million each (176.4 million rubles at the current exchange rate).

Interestingly, the model will be available in three versions (GT, Signature and Timeless), while customers can configure the exterior and interior to their liking.

In other words, there will be no two completely identical cars in circulation.
