Rolls-Royce Phantom Tempus Collection.

Rolls-Royce has introduced a «space» version of the Phantom.
Rolls-Royce’s flagship sedan, the Phantom, has received a new special edition called the Tempus Collection.

The central element of the «space» version of Phantom Tempus is a pulsar, a cosmic source of various types of radiation, which was discovered in 1967 in the distant corners of space for hundreds of light years.

In the interior of the sedan from the special version, this neutron star was depicted on the branded «star ceiling» of the car.

Working on this modification, the designers of the British brand were inspired by space and the concept of time as such.

At the same time, the design of the front panel of the Rolls-Royce Phantom Tempus is dedicated to the theme of time.

Such a sedan was deprived of an analog clock: this symbolizes the independence of the car owner from any time constraints.

And 100 «columns» were made from a single piece of aluminum, the smooth bends of which turn into a three-dimensional pattern.

This number was also not chosen by chance: the rotation period of the pulsar is 100 million years.

The door cards of the car from the Phantom Tempus Collection were adorned with a luminous pattern of hundreds of «stars» and contrasting leather, and in the glove compartment there is a quote from Albert Einstein: «The distinction between past, present and future is nothing more than an illusion, albeit a very intrusive one.»

For the exterior of the Phantom Tempus sedan, the Bespoke department has developed a special dark blue Kairos Blue paint, which shines and shimmers by adding small particles of mica.

The hood of the car is decorated with a «Spirit of Ecstasy» figurine, which can be engraved with a date and place that are of particular importance to the future owner.

As a bonus to all of the above, there is a unique accessory: a champagne box with a hand-drawn pulsar image, buckets for cooling bottles, four glasses made of rock crystal, and a mother-of-pearl spoon for caviar.

Like the other special editions of the Phantom, the Tempus Collection will have a limited edition of only 20 pieces, all of which are already out of print.

The cost of the new special version of Tempus has not been disclosed.
