2021 Subaru Ascent: a family crossover with a striking pedigree.
For several years now, Subaru has been trying to expand the circle of potential buyers of its products.

To this end, Japanese engineers are trying to make their cars more versatile so that they can move with the same comfort both off-road and on good tracks.

An interesting option in this regard could be the 2021 Subaru Ascent, which turned out to be the brand’s largest crossover ever.

The novelty can hardly be called a restyling of some previous model, because there will be a significantly modified multimedia system, a hugely finished interior, high-quality seats and other comfort elements.

In addition, the appearance of the new model will be very bright, and the power unit will receive many interesting solutions, which will allow the «Japanese woman» to compete on equal terms with even more expensive copies.

Exterior

Already from the photo it becomes clear that the exterior of the car, formidable and large, is distinguished by branded «chips», while reflecting the leading trends of modern automotive fashion.

There will be a lot of decorative elements for Subaru Askent 2021, which will undoubtedly appeal to young drivers who like to be in the spotlight of the stream.

The front of the new body looks formidable and at the same time solid. It is set not very high and has an average length and width, which has a positive effect on visibility even for a short driver.

This is also facilitated by a slight inclination of the front end towards the road. There was also a place for decorations, which are represented by a large bonnet with a slightly recessed center and protruding ribs of the sidewalls.

The central part of the muzzle consists of a large air intake grille with a wide chrome edging and a mesh consisting of several horizontal lines painted in the same color.

On the right and left, this element is closely adjoined by bright large lighting equipment of complex shape and with high-quality filling, consisting of xenon or LEDs.

The front body kit looks very athletic, combining both decorative and purely pragmatic elements. The former include chrome inserts and smooth relief transitions.

Useful details are represented by a system of additional air intakes, the largest of which is made in the form of a trapezoidal cutout in the center.

Side slots are designed to provide air access to the brakes and are areas for foglights. All the grilles are, in addition, decorated with a black plastic strip — to harmonize with the protective layer at the very bottom of the body kit.

The car’s profile projection looks more solid than aggressive. The sides of the car are very large and harmoniously combine various decorations.

The upper part is represented by a slightly sloping roof, the shape of which is emphasized by large black roof rails. Below, there are large windows arranged in a polygonal shape with a chrome frame.

They are separated by rather miniature racks painted in gloss black. Immediately behind the front fenders are interesting triangular mirrors, which are equipped with turn signal repeaters in any configuration.

Below you can find both ribbed and smoothly rolling relief, complemented by a black plastic protection from below.

The crossover feed is made a little simpler, but no less stylish. The rear is almost vertical to the road and begins with a medium-sized, slightly sloped visor to cover the medium-sized boot window.

On the main part of the door, you can find a simple relief, chrome inserts and parking lights of an interesting shape.

Below is a simple bumper made of unpainted plastic that protects the body from minor damage. It features small foglights and two round barrels to complete the exhaust system.

Interior

The new product will retain the brand’s traditions, but the finishing materials will become more interesting than they were on the previous models.

So, the new Subaru Askent 2021 model year will receive natural leather, soft plastic, as well as inserts made of metals and wood.

Control and management bodies

The dashboard is made in the finest touches of automotive fashion. At the beginning of it there is a small visor-ledge, under which the on-board computer display is hidden.

Nearby is a medium-sized multimedia center screen, with which you can customize a significant part of the machine’s functionality.

Below it are several panels with physical buttons and washers. The center console ends with a small rounded recess for storing personal items

The central tunnel of the car that follows is not very large. However, it managed to accommodate a technical panel with a gear selector, cup holders and an organizer, as well as a comfortable armrest equipped with a refrigeration unit.

Seats and trunk

Depending on the modification, the car can have five, seven or eight seats, trimmed with good leather and with a soft filling inside.

Of the additional options, it is worth noting heating and electric drives for position adjustment. Some configurations include ventilation, individual armrests, adjustable head restraints and other nice little things.

The luggage compartment of the car pleasantly surprises with its dimensions: as the test drive showed, 1950 liters of luggage with two folded rows of seats and almost 550 liters if the car moves with a full human load will easily enter it.

Specifications

Engineers have prepared for the Subaru Ascent 2021 a 2.4-liter gasoline engine with no alternative, capable of showing 264 «horses».

Such characteristics will allow the car to feel great both in the city and on the highway, and even where the roads end.

In tandem with the engine, an 8-speed automatic and a well-proven all-wheel drive system will work.

Options and prices

The starting price of new items overseas will be $ 32,000. In Russia, this figure will stop at 2.5 million rubles, while for a fully stuffed version, more than 3.5 million units of the Russian currency will need to be paid.

The release date in Russia will become known a little later, but it is clear that this event will not occur until mid-2021.

The car will be able to compete on equal terms with such models as Kia Sorento Prime, Hyundai Santa Fe Grand and even Toyota Land Cruiser Prado.
