Subaru has updated its big crossover Subaru Ascent.

The Subaru Ascent will arrive this fall with a refreshed look and new technology. This is a restyling of the 2023 model.

The updated mid-size crossover, due to arrive at U.S. dealerships this fall, looks bold with a larger grille surrounded by new LED headlights.

They’re joined by a more aggressive front bumper with new air intakes that help improve airflow under the car.

Elsewhere, styling changes are limited, but the crossover gets updated wheels and new taillights with bolder graphics and a more pronounced C-shape.

Modest updates continue in the cabin, as the previous 6.5-inch and 8-inch infotainment systems have been replaced by a new standard 11.6-inch portrait-oriented display.

The crossover is equipped with the latest version of the EyeSight driver assistance system.

It features a new wide-angle monocamera that expands «the field of view to more quickly recognize pedestrians and bicyclists when a vehicle enters an intersection at low speed.»

The system also boasts updated software, and it promises to allow it to operate «more smoothly and in a greater range of conditions.»

There is a new automatic emergency steering feature on models equipped with blind spot detection with lane change assist and rear cross-traffic alert.

It works in conjunction with the pre-collision braking system to help steer the vehicle to avoid a collision when traveling below 80 km/h.

There’s also a new all-around monitor that uses four cameras to create a 360-degree view of the vehicle from above.

The 2023 Subaru Ascent will be offered in five trims, including an updated Onyx Edition with a blacked-out exterior with 20-inch black-trimmed wheels.
