Subaru Evoltis 2022. Subaru’s electric drive ambitions were officially unveiled in January 2020 when the company unveiled the oddly styled concept car (pictured) at a tech briefing in Japan.

In the early stages of development, the product will be the result of a partnership between Subaru and Toyota and will be an all-electric crossover.

According to Japanese media report response.jp, Subaru fans won’t have to wait forever to try an all-electric car from a Tokyo-based 4WD firm.

The publication writes that the Subaru electric car will be presented in October 2021.

In December 2020, Subaru said it will unveil its midsize electric SUV, which will share a platform with Toyota in the first half of this year.

Subaru Evoltis will be built on a dedicated electric vehicle platform jointly developed by Toyota and Subaru.

Design, assortment and features

Response says the Evoltis crossover will be powered by a newly developed next-generation EV powerplant with a maximum output of around 290bhp. and standard equipment with four-wheel drive.

A large capacity lithium-ion battery would provide a family car with a range of 500 km.

The exterior design is expected to be as aggressive as the Toyota bZ4X concept.

The front has a large hex-head grille and a thicker grille for a radical change in appearance.

The headlights are adorned with bright LEDs that extend all the way to the bumper, giving the Subaru a new look.

In addition, Response says there is a possibility that the parties will inherit the design of the concept car, but with different character lines for a «live» look.

The Evoltis will be by far the most technologically advanced Subaru ever offered for sale.

All-LED lighting, wired control system, virtual instrument cluster, large touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone charger, 5G connectivity, etc. may be some of its main features.
