Toyota RAV4 2022.

The Toyota RAV4 gets new headlights and expanded equipment.

These pictures show the crossover Toyota RAV4 in an unfamiliar Adventure version.

It has been in the range in the U.S. and Japanese markets since the start of sales of the current generation, and now Toyota has added it to the European range.

The Adventure version is positioned by the company as «off-road»: such crossover has different front bumper, a different radiator grill, wider pads on wheel arches, black 19-inch wheels and original seat upholstery.

In America the kit also includes massive roof rails, but in the Euro-version they are standard.

However, now it is important that the European Toyota RAV4 Adventure first tried on updates, which subsequently will go to all variants of the «Rafiki».

This, first of all, new LED headlights with integrated running lights strips, although the bodies and seats they have the same. There are also more compact diode fog lights and a new design of the wheels.

In the cabin, Toyota has finally spared the illumination of the window buttons.

Also the general illumination of the interior is changed and there is a new charging socket USB-C.

Now not only the driver’s seat, but also the passenger’s seat is electrically operated.

The equipment is the same. In Europe, the base RAV4 has a petrol engine 2.0 (175 hp) and a front or all-wheel drive.

A step above is a hybrid with an atmospheric engine 2.5 and an electric motor, which in total make 218 hp.

It is also possible to order all-wheel drive hybrid: in this case, the rear axle is equipped with an additional electric motor, and peak power of the system reaches 222 hp.

Finally, at the top of the range is a rechargeable hybrid with all-wheel drive and a peak output of 306 hp.

In Europe, the updated Toyota RAV4 crossovers (including Adventure variant) will appear in the first quarter of 2022.

Timing of appearance in other markets has not yet been specified.
