Toyota said it will not be able to produce the previously planned 9.7 million vehicles for the current fiscal year, which ends in March 2023.

The automaker has been experiencing a serious shortage of components, particularly microchips, all year long. Previously, Toyota repeatedly adjusted its monthly production plans.

For example, the company expected that from August to November the situation will improve and it will be able to produce 900,000 cars per month.
