Upgrading the Hyundai Grandeur 2022. Last year it became known that Hyundai is not satisfied with the sales of the flagship Grandeur sedan.

Due to this the manufacturer decided to prematurely upgrade the model.

And this time the Korean company refused from restyling and immediately started the work on change of generations.

Despite the fact that even the exact debut date of the new Hyundai Grandeur 2022 is not announced, it is already known a lot about it.

Thus, in the network repeatedly appeared renderings, which show that the Korean model will undergo large-scale changes.

And according to some authors, the future Grandeur will be redesigned in the style of eletrocars series Ioniq. One of the renders shows that Korean crossover will get massive grille.

And it may be interactive. Recall that last year Hyundai introduced a concept radiator grille, which through the LED lights informs about the «intentions» of the car.

This information is intended to protect the movement of pedestrians and other cars.

Also, according to the authors, the new Grandeur will get front optics, presented in the form of a thin LED strip.

Its function will be complemented by large LED lights, embedded in the sides of the front bumper.

However, another rendering shows that the future Grandeur will receive a body, which will retain the features characteristic of the current version of the sedan.

Thus, there will be noticeable rounded spoiler on the stern.

Under it the developers of the rendering have placed a long LED strip, performing a role of stern optics.

The roof line has a bigger slope than in the current version of Grandeur. Because of this the stern looks shortened.

As a result after such changes the Korean sedan at least visually will turn into a liftback.

Recently there are some pictures, which partially show Grandeur’s interior.

These photos show that the interior, in fact, will change completely. The steering wheel of Korean sedan has a non-standard configuration, more suitable for full-size SUVs. On its «spokes» there are buttons to control onboard electronics, which are placed in two round inserts.

A digital dashboard is combined with a large touchscreen. Both monitors have a clear rectangular shape.

The center console of the new Grandeur as if goes at an angle of 90 degrees to the floor.

The Korean model after the change of generations will become more technologically advanced than its predecessor.

It is already known that sedan will be equipped with functional roof, light-throughput capacity of which can be adjusted depending on personal preferences.

It is reported that a wide motor range including 2.5-liter and 3.5-liter engines will be offered to buyers with the new Grandeur.

The last one also supports running on gas. In addition, a 1.6-liter supercharged unit will be included in the motor range, which will be part of the hybrid unit.

According to rumors, the length of the new Grandeur will exceed 5 meters.

But the last information was disproved recently. Representatives of Hyundai said that the company is considering a return to the market of the Aslan model, which previously acted as a flagship.

And the length of this sedan will be about five meters. Considering that Aslan will be one step higher than Grandeur, the latter should be shorter.

It is reported that the future flagship will be equipped with a choice of 198- and 235-horsepower «atmospheric engines» of 2.5 and 3 liters, respectively.

A 3.3-liter 290-horsepower unit will be offered optionally with the Aslan.
