A new electric subcompact crossover Fiat is supposed to replace the Panda 4×4 model.

There is information in the Internet about a new subcompact crossover from Fiat that will replace the model Panda 4×4.

The city-car Panda and its variations have been in Fiat’s model range for more than 40 years. Over the years, the city car has already changed its generation several times and still enjoys success among European customers.

However, the new trend of environmental friendliness requires new changes.

In this regard, Fiat Group, which is now part of the progressive Stellantis Corporation, is preparing a new subcompact crossover for sale by 2023. The parkette is supposed to replace the Fiat Panda 4×4 modification.

In terms of design, the new Fiat crossover should largely repeat features of the concept car Centoventi.

For novelty they offer C-shaped headlights of main light, squares of fog lights, hidden air duct.

The body will be decorated with decorative elements, contrasting with the body’s enamel color: roof rails, door moldings, wheel rims, inserts in the livery, exterior mirror casings.

The model will enter a class of full-fledged subcompact crossovers and will be rewarded with higher ground clearance than the Panda 4×4.

Since the moment of start of sales two modifications will be offered: with an internal combustion engine (petrol three-cylinder unit of several performance variants), and a completely electric variation on the basis of the e-CMP platform with an electric motor placed on the front axle.

It is assumed that its capacity will be 136 hp and one battery charge cycle will be enough to run 330-350 km.

The Italian company is preparing to start serial production in the middle of this year.

The manufacturer is planning to gradually increase the level of production of cars, depending on how much the car will be in demand on the world market.

The Fiat Panda is in high demand on the Old World market. That is why there is no doubt that the updated modification will also be in demand.

This car will be the smallest among the cars of SUV family. The design of the new car will be comparable to the exterior of the new generation Panda.

The manufacturer is sure that this design is modern, safe and multifunctional.

The SUV will be equipped with a standard internal combustion engine or an electrified motor. Together with it will run a manual or automatic transmission. Drive may be front or all-wheel drive, depending on the configuration. The cost of the new vehicle has not yet been announced.

On the Russian market the crossover will not appear until 2023. The manufacturer has no doubt that buyers from Russia will also like the car, considering the ratio of price and quality of assembly of the main units.
