Toyota Land Cruiser SE 2024: the company’s first all-electric SUV.

Toyota is expected to show the concept of the first all-electric SUV, the Land Cruiser SE, at the Tokyo International Motor Show.

And now the manufacturer has published a photo and revealed a few details.

In format, the new Toyota Land Cruiser SE 2024 resembles a city crossover rather than a serious SUV for conquering fords and forested areas (although this is still a concept).

The size of the new product is comparable to the BMW X7 or Audi Q7.

Length: 5130 mm
Width: 1989 mm
Height: 1704 mm
Wheelbase: 3050 mm (traditionally long for electric vehicles, which means a more spacious interior).

The exterior design of the new Toyota Land Cruiser SE has a square body silhouette, but the style itself is new for the company, that is, it has no resemblance to the company’s current cars.

The interior is still completely classified; the manufacturer only announced that it will have seven seats.

Details about the technology will appear later. It is not even known yet on what platform the new electric SUV will be built, not to mention batteries and electric motors.

One can only assume that the new Land Cruiser SE will have all-wheel drive implemented using two electric units installed front and rear, as the press release talks about “confidence in overcoming difficult terrain.”

Let us recall that in the summer of 2023, Toyota introduced a new generation of the Land Cruiser Prado (J250) SUV with a frame structure and a brutal exterior design with retro motifs.

Over the past few years, the Toyota Land Cruiser has undergone a metamorphosis.

Gone is the big, clunky luxury SUV. In its place will be a smaller variant with a retro-styled four-cylinder engine.

Around the world, Land Cruisers come in a variety of shapes and sizes.

The latest addition to the range is the Land Cruiser Se. It is the first all-electric model to carry the LC badge.

Toyota unveiled the Se with few details on Friday evening, October 20.

Toyota said the three-row model looks like a concept and will offer a high-torque battery-electric driving experience.

The company also talked about how quiet this Land Cruiser will be in urban and off-road conditions.

Toyota didn’t provide any other information about the number of engines, power, or even battery size.

But to be competitive with something like the Rivian R1S, this electric car will need robust features.

It looks muscular and is sure to be a popular car.
