Kia Sonet 2022.

The budget Kia Sonet 2022 will be the first crossover with a gas turbo engine. Its specifications have already been revealed.

The Kia Sonet 2022 crossover is one of the most successful products of the Korean brand.

In many respects, the high demand for this model is due to the fact that it is cheap with high-quality equipment: the initial kits are priced at less than 800,000 rubles at the current exchange rate.

But, apparently, Kia intends to make the Sonet more attractive.

This is evidenced by the published photo, which captures a test sample of the crossover with a CNG badge.

It is usually used to mark cars with CNG equipment.

Thus, Sonet at the published photo is equipped with a liter turbocharged engine, which maximum efficiency reaches 120 hp.

That is, the Korean model will be the first crossover at least on the Indian market, which is simultaneously equipped with a supercharged unit and LPG equipment.

It is reported that when preparing a new modification, Kia engineers will reduce the output of a liter turbo unit.

But the exact value of power is not disclosed yet. By default, this unit will be equipped with a manual transmission.

The Sonet with a gas turbocharger is due to the fact that demand for crossovers with HBO in India is increasing rapidly.

This means that the Korean model in this version probably will not enter the world market.

Note that Kia may be late with the debut of the Sonet gas version.

The reason is that Suzuki also announced its intention to release the Vitara Brezza with HBO and a 1.5-liter engine.

However, neither company voiced exact dates of the debut of its novelties.

The Sonet, on the other hand, looks production-ready in the published photo.

The KIA Sonet crossover has become the most popular in India.

Buyers appreciate in this car style, not bad equipment and quite a budget price tag.

We recall that Kia plans to make Sonet a global model — in other markets the car will be released in the very near future.

KIA Sonet is very compact — its length is only 3,995 mm. This is made to reduce the tax rate. The distance between the axles is 2,500 mm.

The engine range consists of three power units, where the base is a 1.2-liter «atmospheric» 83 hp. The 1.0-liter turbo engine is capable of 120 hp. In addition to these the diesel unit with output of 100 hp is also available.

One of the main technical innovations of the KIA Sonet is the manual transmission with automatic clutch.
