Nissan Pathfinder 2023.

Nissan has unveiled the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder SUV concept at the Shanghai Auto Show.

The Japanese automaker has demonstrated the updated Nissan Pathfinder.

The motor show in Shanghai has become the venue for the premiere of a new modification of the model, which the brand positions as an «off-road icon».

This refers to the Nissan Pathfinder, which should be reborn for sales in China. This is a rethinking of the fifth generation of the model, which debuted the year before last.

The concept version of the updated model does not herald the beginning of a new electrified era for this family. The concept still provides for an internal combustion engine.

This is evidenced by graphics on the front instrument panel with a design that could be on the electric version.

The concept car has a grille in which the headlights are integrated.

Instead of the upper grill slat, there is a glass panel with a strip of LEDs, which continues with a line of DRLs.

In the rear part of the body there are narrowed optics and an illuminated nameplate with the name of the SUV, as well as a bumper without exhaust pipes.

Almost no changes have taken place in the interior. Only a commitment to minimalism is noticeable. Here, smoother contours of decor and controls are used. New finishing materials are used.

The concern has not yet said exactly when motorists should expect the serial production of this model.

At the same time, a plan is known for the release of 27 new electronic devices. 19 of them will be fully electric. The new Pathfinder for China should get a hybrid power plant.

In fact, with the global model, which is also well known to the Russian buyer, the novelty is related only by the name.

The Nissan team has created from scratch the exterior and interior specifically for the Chinese market, taking into account the taste preferences of buyers.

The SUV, visually more reminiscent of a full-size crossover, received a massive radiator grille with headlights integrated into it, made in the form of long diode strips.

The rear lights are made in the form of a long line, which has a single gap in the center of the trunk.

The interior is quite minimalistic even despite the abundance of screens — the dashboard and multimedia system displays are located close to each other, the air ducts are shifted there from the center.

For the Chinese market, the car will be offered in a three-row configuration — according to the manufacturer’s idea, active families will become the main audience.
