Toyota Land Hopper 2024.

The Toyota Land Hopper SUV is in development: this is a budget version of the Land Cruiser.

According to the Japanese portal BestCarWeb, Toyota is developing a frame SUV, which will become a budget alternative to the Land Cruiser in the brand’s lineup.

It is expected that the new product will be called “Land Hopper”. The automaker patented this name in Japan quite recently — on August 8, 23rd.

In terms of its form factor, the car will be similar to the Land Cruiser Prado.

It will receive an angular body, high ground clearance and small overhangs. At the same time, in terms of exterior design, the new product will receive many solutions from the Compact Cruiser EV concept shown earlier.

The Toyota Land Hopper 2024-2025 will be built on the basis of the TNGA GA-F platform, on which a number of “senior” SUVs and pickup trucks of the brand are based.

In terms of dimensions, the car will be comparable to the Corolla Cross. Approximate length 4.5 meters, width 1.8 meters and height 1.85 meters.

The model will receive petrol and hybrid versions with units that have already been tested on the Corolla Cross and RAV4 crossovers. There will definitely not be purely electric options at the start of sales.

The Toyota Land Hopper can be officially presented as early as October 25, 2023 at the Japan Mobility Show, but it will not go on sale until the second half of the twenty-fourth.

Journalists believe that on the market such a model will cost 3.0-3.8 million yen (2.0-2.5 million rubles at the current exchange rate).

By the way, a hybrid RAV4 costs about the same in the Land of the Rising Sun, but for a Land Cruiser Prado here they ask for at least 3,676,000 yen (2.4 million rubles).

This car will cost the same as the RAV4 crossover, while it will become an alternative to the Land Cruiser.

The new frame all-terrain vehicle will be built on the TNGA GA-F architecture. “Older” SUVs and pickup trucks of the Japanese brand are based on it.

It is alleged that the model will be called Toyota Land Hopper 2024.

In terms of overall dimensions, the car will be close to the Corolla Cross crossover.

The new product can be shown on October 25 as part of the Japan Mobility Show event. It has not yet been confirmed that the model will be called Land Hopper, but the name was already registered in Japan on August 8th.

It is expected that the exterior of the car will be made in the style of the Compact Cruiser EV concept.

At the same time, the new product will not be exclusively an electric car. Buyers will also be offered gasoline and hybrid modifications of the “on-frame” model.

The units will be borrowed from the RAV4 and Corolla Cross. It is assumed that the length of the car will be about 4.5 meters, width – 1.8 meters, and height – 1.85 meters.

In terms of form factor, the new product will be close to the Land Cruiser. It is expected that the cost of the car will be about 2.0-2.5 million rubles in equivalent.
