The premiere of the new generation Skoda Kodiaq crossover will take place in September 2023.

But the manufacturer has already revealed most of the details, and also published official photos (though so far only in camouflage).

So, the silhouette of the Skoda Kodiaq 2024 will remain recognizable, while the external design will be significantly updated.

The new model uses the same but modified MQB platform (updated with the EVO prefix). By the way, a technical relative – the recently announced new generation Volkswagen Tiguan is based on the same platform.

The crossover will also be offered in five-seat or seven-seat (three-row) versions.

In turn, the dimensions of the new model have changed only slightly:

Length: 4758 (increased by 61 mm)
Width: 1864 mm (decreased by 18 mm)
Height: 1657 mm (decreased by 11 mm)
Wheelbase: 2791 mm (remains the same)

The new generation Skoda Kodiaq 2024 will be offered in five versions:

Maximum total power – 204 hp. A traction battery with a capacity of 25.7 kWh is also installed (mileage on pure electric traction is 100 km). Drive is front-wheel drive only.

Serial production of the new Skoda Kodiaq will begin in early 2024, but all the details will be revealed in September 2023, during the official premiere.

The second generation Kodiaq will receive an almost vertical polygonal radiator grille, while retaining one of the main features of the first generation model — “two-story” optics, the elements of which will slightly change their shape.

The teasers also show a front bumper with a wide air intake at the bottom and vertical decorative inserts along the edges.

From the side, attention is drawn to the curved stamping at the bottom of the doors, as well as the contrasting trim on the rear pillars, which, judging by the sketches, can be black or silver.

The most noticeable change in the rear view will be the original C-shaped optics with a bridge at the bottom, not typical for other models of the company.

The new Kodiaq will be built on a modified MQB Evo platform, which is also used by the recently introduced third generation Volkswagen Tiguan.

The length of the model has been increased by 61 mm to 4758 mm, but the width and height have decreased slightly: 1864 and 1657 mm, respectively (18 and 4 mm less compared to its predecessor).

The wheelbase has not changed and is 2791 mm. The crossover will be offered with petrol (2.0 TSI with 204 hp and mild hybrid 150 hp 1.5 TSI) and diesel engines (2.0 TDI with 150 or 193 hp).

Also for the first time there will be a rechargeable hybrid Kodiaq iV with the aforementioned 1.5 TSI paired with an electric motor, a battery with a capacity of 25.7 kWh and 6DSG.

The total output of this SUV is 204 hp, and it can travel more than 100 km on electric power. By the way, the interior of the new Kodiaq was declassified a month ago.
