Volkswagen has declassified the “hot” ID.7 GTX Tourer, which has become the brand’s most powerful station wagon.

The regular “green” barn of the German brand debuted less than a month ago, and now it’s the turn of the “charged” version of this model.

They have a number of visual differences, but the main “zest” lies in the technology.

The Volkswagen ID.7 liftback was presented in April last year, and the family station wagon, which received the addition of Tourer to its name, was declassified recently, in the second half of February 2024.

Let us remind you that it is based on the ID concept. Space Vizzion, shown back in 2019. Now the German manufacturer has presented the “hot” five-door Volkswagen ID.7 GTX Tourer.

The list of visual differences of the version with the addition of GTX includes decorative accents made of black glossy plastic, a different design (in the form of a large mesh) of a large air intake integrated into the lower part of the front bumper and framed by foglights in the shape of small boomerangs, as well as standard 20-inch wheels of the original design.

21-inch rollers are available as an option.

The feed of the “charged” station wagon is also different from the regular version.

This ID.7 GTX Tourer received a revised diffuser, an inscription with the name of the version in the center of the tailgate under the logo (by the way, there are corresponding nameplates on the front doors), LED rear light units with customizable graphics, made in the form of a single wide die.

Among the updates there is a new body color option – Kings red metallic, which is a reference to the signature color of the first generation Golf GTI.

The interior of the Volkswagen ID.7 GTX Tourer has sports seats trimmed in a combination of fabric and eco-micro-fleece with red stitching and stripes with the name of the version to match it.

For an additional fee, the seats can be equipped with 12-position adjustment, memory functions, heating and ventilation.

The list of options also includes a Harman Kardon sound system and a panoramic sunroof, the transparency of which can be adjusted with a button.

The infotainment system has support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, VW IDA voice assistant with ChatGPT integration, and a head-up display with augmented reality system.

The model also has various driver assistants, including “autoparking assistant”, lane keeping function, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, etc.

The main highlight of the ID.7 GTX Tourer is its technology. The company called this modification the most powerful station wagon in Volkswagen history.

The model is equipped with a twin-engine power plant (one electric motor on each axle), the total output of which is 340 hp, which is 54 hp more. more than the standard rear-wheel drive wagon introduced last month.

The maximum speed of the “hot” five-door is limited to 180 km/h; the time it takes the station wagon to accelerate from zero to “hundreds” has not yet been made public by the company.

The “charged” Volkswagen ID.7 GTX Tourer will go on sale on the European market this spring.

Prices will be announced later. The starting price of a regular station wagon on the home market, Germany, is now 54,795 euros (equivalent to approximately 5.48 million rubles at the current exchange rate).
