Today, June 23, in China officially launched sales of the updated Volkswagen Lavida 2022 sedan.
The car is available to customers in eight packages at a price of 120,900 to 150,900 yuan, which at the current exchange rate is the equivalent of 967,000 to 1,207,000 rubles.
The German novelty has two variants of appearance: standard and star.
And the latter is distinguished by a more sporty design. Note that the VW Lavida has undergone a mid-term facelift.
In this update, the manufacturer focused on upgrading the exterior and interior, as well as optimizing the packages.
Buyers are offered three power options and seven body paint colors.
Although the front end of the car has been updated, it has no problems to recognize the trademark features of the Lavida.
However, a number of important changes can be noted. So, horizontal slats of the middle grille became wider, and vertical spokes more noticeable.
The headlights were updated. Now it is united into one unit with the radiator grille.
At the front the designer added a more voluminous trim, which makes the car more sporty.
Multi-spoke wheel rims add luxury to the new sedan. The stern has twin L-shaped lights, which attract attention after turning on.
The rear bumper has been significantly transformed. Reflective stripe became through, a chrome lining was added, and the exhaust system received a hidden design
The biggest changes are in the interior of the VW Lavida. The trim material of the central control panel was replaced by a leather cloth in silver shade.
The manufacturer abandoned the previous design with the use of royal paint.
The car received a 10.25-inch full-screen dashboard, 12-inch «floating» multimedia touchscreen buttons and a steering wheel, decorated with silver details.
The latest intelligent MOS 3.X system can now update the navigation map in real time and predict the situation on the road.
The car also has CarPlay and CarLife, which is very convenient for cell phone connection. At the same time, depending on the modification, the size of the central screen will vary slightly.
The car uses leather seats in three colors. The texture of the seats has been adjusted, and their style has become new.
The driver’s seat is electrically adjustable and the passenger seat is manually adjustable.
The rear sofa is heated. Both rows of seats are equipped with USB and Type-C interfaces.
In addition, there are independent air conditioning outlets in the back.
German model is also equipped with a sunroof. We should separately note that the Star modification will have a sportier exterior due to a different design of the front end, installation of unique rims and a rear spoiler.
The manufacturer has retained the Lavida 1.5-liter «atmospheric» and 1.4-liter turbo engine.
The first one generates 112 hp and 145 N*m of torque, combined with a six-speed manual transmission.
The supercharged unit produces 150 hp and 250 N*m. It is paired with a 7-speed double-clutch «robot».
In addition, there is a new turbo engine in the engine lineup with a capacity of 1.2 liters.
Power of this unit is 115 hp and torque — 200 N*m. It also interacts with a robotized transmission.
