The Yuanhang Y6 2024 executive sedan enters the market: expensive, rich, Chinese.

Yuanhang is a new premium brand launched last year by China’s Dayun Group, and the Y6 large electric sedan is its first model to hit the market.

Dayun Group’s main profile is commercial vehicles of a wide range, but motorcycles and passenger cars are also produced under the parent brand.

Dayun passenger cars are the relatively inexpensive Yuehu electric hatchback and Yuanzhi M1 minivan, almost invisible on the Chinese market (a total of 19,734 units were sold in the first 11 months of this year).

But Yuanhang is a rather ambitious brand, aimed at fighting Hongqi and other Chinese brands at the intersection of the premium and luxury segments.

The name Yuanhang, translated from Latinized Chinese into Russian, means “journey”; the brand premiered last August at the Chengdu Motor Show, at which time the first four models were announced — Y6, Y7 sedans and H8, H9 crossovers.

They all share a common BHD (Beyond the Horizon of Drive) platform with an 800-volt electrical architecture and adaptive air suspension, with double wishbones at the front and multi-link at the rear.

Here we will talk about the Yuanhang Y6 sedan, since it was the first to enter the market this week, but literally with a pause of one day, the Yuanhang H8 crossover also went on sale — we devoted a separate note to it.

Overall length of Yuanhang Y6 — 5270 mm, width — 2000 mm, height — 1500 mm, wheelbase — 3130 mm.

The side doors have frameless glass and retractable handles. In addition to the main trunk, there is a small additional one in front.

The design as a whole seems a little old-fashioned, including due to the chrome moldings, which most other manufacturers have already abandoned — chrome plating is considered unenvironmentally friendly.

The declared aerodynamic coefficient cx is 0.207. Standard wheels are 19-, 20- or 21-inch.

The Yuanhang Y6 interior has a contrasting two-tone leather trim.

The front panel is supported by a vertical multimedia tablet with a diagonal of 17.38 inches, it runs on the AliOS operating system.

The 12.3-inch instrument screen is complemented by a 70-inch head-up display.

The standard audio system has 27 speakers. Various electronic driver assistants are also included as standard equipment, but a full-fledged autopilot is not announced, and there are no lidars on the body.

The second row has two separate luxury seats, in which you can take a reclining seat.
