In the new generation, the flagship of the branded lineup Mazda CX-8 2021 successfully combines the practicality and performance of its predecessor with the exclusive design solutions of branded specialists.

The new crossover model is positioned as a comfortable and safe family car, and is also of interest to lovers of tourist or other types of outdoor activities.

The new version has a spacious interior with a six- or seven-seat layout, wide functionality of technical and electronic equipment, more dynamic starting and speed parameters of the motor range.

Exterior

Another restyling has supplemented the appearance of the novelty and the salon interior with premium style elements. The new body of the Mazda CX-8 model of 2021 attracts attention:

The novelty demonstrates typical for European counterparts features of a crossover body layout with a short sloping front end, a gentle slope of the roof and a vertical stern plane.

Available: silver roof rails, wide pillars and chrome edging of the extended side glazing, modern mirrors and a little ribbed relief concentrated on the sidewalls and wheel arches.

The crossover entourage of the novelty is complemented by the rounded contours of rectangular wheel arches, high ground clearance, the presence of a massive decorative and protective plastic skirt and off-road 17-inch multi-spoke wheels.

The front panel fixes attention on the three analog gauge dial gauges and the three-tiered center console. It includes a 7-inch diagonal of the media-command display, a horizontal block of ventilation deflectors and a control panel for adjusting the cabin microclimate.

On the front of the tunnel there is a technical sector with a gear lever and buttons for activating part of the onboard equipment. An extended list of options is available, including a double armrest with the optional fridge cover function.

The pilot seat service list offers several adjustment ranges, heated and ventilated seats. Backrest tilt is available for second row riders. The small volume of the 260-liter boot is increased to 600 liters by simply transforming the rear seats.

Specifications

In terms of external dimensions, in the ratio of 4900 x 1840 x 1730 mm, the Mazda CX-8 2021 is inferior to the older model of the 9th series, therefore it looks more compact.

The undercarriage with a base of 2930 mm and 200 mm ground clearance is completed with the well-proven MacPhersonian independent suspension of the front and link — rear axles.

The base model is powered by a tandem of a 2.2-liter 190-horsepower diesel engine and a front-wheel drive 6-band automatic transmission.

• In the future, an all-wheel drive modification of the new crossover will be available, with a 232 hp gasoline engine. and an 8-band transmission.

In the global automotive market, the new Mazda CX-8 2021 model year will be offered in five trim levels with different drive options and interior interior.

The price in the range from 29 to 39 thousand dollars will be determined by the trim levels and functionality of special, including comfort-forming, options.

Sales start in Russia

The new generation of the crossover is focused on the peculiarities of the domestic and European markets, so the manufacturer has not announced the release date in Russia.
