The Cadillac brand is preparing to introduce its latest masterpiece — the 2024 Cadillac Escalade IQ electric SUV.

On the eve of the debut, the manufacturer decided to conduct regular tests of the car, and, of course, spy photos appeared on the Internet.

The camouflage wrap hides the intricate design details of this prototype, but overall the car makes a nice impression.

The Escalade IQ’s roofline is gently sloping, adding a dynamic touch to its appearance.

The front end appears sleeker, and the gently curved windshield gives the façade a modern look.

Even under the guise, the allure of the electric SUV shines through, promising a bold departure from the regular gas-powered Escalade.

Previous images showed an open and futuristic dashboard design reminiscent of the one found in the new Celestiq, indicating that Cadillac is looking to incorporate cutting-edge technology into its electric lineup. There is no information regarding the characteristics yet.

Production of the luxury electric car will start in 2024 in Detroit.

Technically, the 2024 Cadillac Escalade IQ is in many ways related to the GMC Hummer EV. Like the latter, the electric SUV is built on the Ultium platform.

This “trolley” does not have a frame, and the main load-bearing element is the frame of the traction battery located between the axles, to which powerful subframes and independent suspensions are attached to the front and rear.

In terms of dimensions, the 2024-2025 electric Escalade IQ turned out to be larger than a regular gasoline one, although the long-wheelbase ESV version will still be slightly larger.

The length of the SUV reaches 5,697 mm, its wheelbase is 3,460, width — 2,167, height — 1,934 mm.

The default trunk volume (behind the third row) is a quite respectable 670 liters (according to the American EPA method). If you fold the back row, the hold capacity will reach 1,958 liters.

With the second row seats folded down, the trunk capacity is stated at 3,374 liters. The developers also provide a so-called “eTrunk” or front trunk — it has a capacity of 345 liters.

The company calls the new Cadillac Escalade IQ 2025 the most driver-friendly, maneuverable and environmentally friendly Escalade in history.

The electric car relies on a dual-engine power plant, and the front and rear engines have different ratios of the main pair (front 13.26:1, rear — 11.63:1).

Their total output is 687 hp. (834 Nm), however, when the extreme “Velocity Max” preset is activated, they briefly develop 761 forces and 1,063 Nm of torque.

This allows the heavy-duty American SUV to accelerate from 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 5.0 seconds.

The maximum speed has not been announced, but the towing capabilities are known — the car is capable of towing a trailer weighing up to 3.6 tons.

The power units assigned to it are powered by a lithium-ion traction battery with a capacity of 200 kWh. It consists of 24 blocks and also has a thermoregulation system with a heat pump.

From official information it follows that the power reserve of the 2024 Cadillac IQ reaches 450 miles (724 km).

The AC charger has a power of up to 19.2 kW. You can also recharge from 800-volt DC stations.
