Chevrolet Trax 2023.

The Americans introduced the new Chevrolet Trax: a clone of the Chinese Chevrolet Seeker.

Chevrolet introduced the new (second) generation Trax crossover. This is far from being an independent model, but a clone of the Chevrolet Seeker presented on the Chinese market.

The SUV in the new body received lighter proportions than its predecessor.

Outwardly, he largely repeats the aforementioned «Chinese». He is supposed to have a two-story head optics and complex lamps, the shades of which go far to the rear fenders.

Note that the headlights of the new Chevrolet Trax 2023 are now LED in the database, although the “eyebrows” of DRLs with conventional incandescent lamps, and they become diode only in more expensive trim levels.

Also, by default, the car is content with 17-inch stamped wheels, while on more expensive versions, the wheels are already light-alloy and up to 19″ in diameter.

By the way, there are five configurations themselves: LS, 1RS, LT, 2RS and Activ.

Specifically, the RS version can be recognized by a more “sporty” black decor, while the top-end Activ version has protective bumper pads and yellow accents in the cabin.

The interior of the 2023 Chevrolet Trucks is completely copied from the Chinese Seeker, but the equipment of the first is somewhat simpler.

In the base, the car has an analog tidy and an 8.0-inch multimedia display (instead of 10.25-inch screens).

In more expensive trim levels, an 8.0-inch virtual tidy and an entertainment complex touchscreen increased to 11.0″ appear.

Like the “Chinese” Seeker, the new 2023 Chevrolet Trax is built on a modular VSS platform, which means it has a semi-independent rear suspension.

With the change of generation, the crossover became noticeably larger — the wheelbase was stretched to 2,700 mm (+ 145) at once.

From now on, the model reaches a length of 4,537 mm, and a width of 1,823 mm, while the height, on the contrary, has decreased — to 1,560 mm (-101), while the Americans have raised the clearance from the previous passenger 157 mm to quite a crossover — 186 millimeters.

The developers report that the trunk volume of the model has increased by 12%.

From now on, its volume under the shelf is 725 liters (according to the American EPA standard), and with the rear row seats folded down — 1,532 liters.

Interestingly, the new Chevrolet Trax 2023 received the original powertrains, and not from the “Chinese”.

The car is powered by a 1.2-liter “turbo engine” with 139 hp. (219 Nm), working with six-speed mechanics. Drive, as before, exclusively front.

By default, the Chevy Safety Assist electronic assistant system with automatic braking, high beam switching and lane keeping is available for the car.

For a surcharge, you can order a car valet, adaptive cruise control, a sunroof, a heated steering wheel, a remote engine start system and an electric driver’s seat.

First of all, the Chevrolet Trax 2023 is intended for the American market, while it will be produced in South Korea, where the first generation model was previously assembled.

In the States, the crossover should appear in the spring of the twenty-third at a price of $ 21,000 (1.3 million rubles at the current exchange rate).

Thus, the novelty will be even $ 200 cheaper (13,000 rubles) than its predecessor and will become the most affordable car of the brand in the North American market.
