Chevrolet Monza 2023.

Dealers have offered domestic motorists the new 2023 Chevrolet Monza.

The American sedan is imported from China, where it is produced at a local enterprise.

Despite the fact that the car is imported, a relatively low price was requested for it: the basic version costs 2.38 million rubles.

This amount included a compact naturally aspirated 1.5-liter engine.

Its declared maximum output does not exceed 113 hp. Included with it is only a robotic box.

This combination provides a relatively high fuel efficiency: according to official information, the American model consumes up to 5.9 liters of gasoline on average.

Updated Chevrolet Monza sedan: the cheapest Chevrolet model in China.

Chevrolet has updated the Monza budget sedan for the Chinese market. As part of the planned restyling, the appearance of the four-door has changed slightly.

The 2023 model year car received a different front bumper, new headlights and a larger grille, which made its face more aggressive.

The manufacturer has redesigned its appearance, making the exterior more sporty.

The novelty received 2 interconnected screens, a speed control system, seats trimmed with eco-leather and other options.

Otherwise, the appearance of the sedan remained the same, although it was put on new 16-inch wheels. But in the cabin, the changes are much more significant.

The restyled model has acquired two 10.25-inch displays, which are placed on a single panel without a visor in a modern way.

The changes also affected the steering wheel, center console and gear selector.

The car received an electromechanical parking brake, and on the central tunnel, the developers provided a platform for wireless charging of smartphones.

But climate control was never added to the list of equipment — passengers will still have to be content with conventional air conditioning.

Due to the modified plumage, the Chevrolet Monza 2023 now reaches a length of 4,656 mm (+ 42), but this did not affect the rest of the parameters. So, the trunk volume of the car is the same as 405 liters.

But the Americans refused the “medium” engine (liter three-cylinder turbo engine for 125 forces) as part of restyling.

In turn, the top version, as before, is equipped with a 1.3-liter “turbo engine”, which develops 163 “horses” (230 Nm).

The sedan is based on the Chevrolet Lacetti platform with independent rear suspension.

In the base, he relies on a time-tested 1.5-liter aspirated engine with a capacity of 113 hp. (141 Nm), which works in tandem with a six-speed preselective robot.

Interestingly, it is supplemented with a 48-volt starter-generator. During starting, he adds another 11 forces and 40 Nm of torque to the return.

In conjunction with the top-end internal combustion engine, a classic six-speed automatic is already working. Acceleration from zero to hundreds in the older modification is possible in 9.2 seconds.

Note that the pre-reform Monza with a price tag of 16,200 US dollars (970,000 rubles at the current exchange rate) was the most affordable Chevrolet in the Chinese market, but the restyled version of the model has become even more affordable.

Prices for the updated four-door start at $13,700 (820,000 rubles), while the manufacturer estimated the top version at only $15,700 (940,000 rubles). At local dealers, such cars should appear in the fall of the twenty-second.
