Fiat Strada 2024.

The bestseller Fiat Strada received a turbo engine and a special design for the top versions.

The range of the compact pickup truck was replenished with a liter turbo three, in addition, cars with a new engine now have a different “face”. The interior was also slightly refreshed, in addition, a limited special version appeared.

Produced in Brazil, the small truck Fiat Strada has always been in high demand among local buyers.

Well, after the model moved to the second generation in 2020, having received a full-fledged two-row cab (but left the two-door version), it completely topped the list of the country’s best-selling cars: in 2022, almost 112,500 pickups were sold on the Brazilian market , Strada’s result for seven months of this year is 60,912 copies.

Nevertheless, Fiat decided to refresh its bestseller, and the brand was not limited to decor.

So, the atmospheric four Fire 1.4 (maximum 88 hp) was finally retired: in the 2024 model year, the basic version of the Endurance (only this version was equipped with the 1.4 engine) switched to the four-cylinder aspirated Firefly 1.3, which traditionally for Brazil “feeds » both gasoline (101 hp) and ethanol (109 hp).

The engine is combined with a five-speed mechanics. In addition, Strada Endurance got electric power steering (the previous cheapest truck with 1.4 had power steering).

Freedom and Volcano, next in order of completeness, retained 1.3 and 5MKP, while Strada Volcano can also be purchased with a CVT.

But the expensive Ranch variant and the newly added even more luxurious Ultra version have a new motor. “Rich” pickups now have a turbo 1.0 Turbo 200 Flex, familiar from the Brazilian SUVs Fiat Pulse and Fastback.

The power of the gasoline version is 125 hp, on ethanol the engine produces 130 hp, the torque is 200 Nm (regardless of fuel).

The turbo engine is equipped exclusively with a variator. Cars with 1.0T also have a Sport button on the steering wheel: in this mode, the Strada can reach the first “hundred” in 9.8 or 9.5 seconds (gasoline / ethanol). The model does not have all-wheel drive — only the front.

Fiat Strada Ranch and Ultra distinguished themselves not only by the presence of a turbo engine: these versions now have their own exterior design.

A new front bumper appeared with an X-shaped insert (Ultra has it in black) and additional “protection”, fog lights are designed differently, plus they are LED and raised higher. Also replaced the grille.

Strada Ultra’s own chips — a red decorative strip on the lower part of the grille frame, original 16-inch wheels and tinted windows.

And on the basis of this performance, they made a limited special version of Edizione 25, it was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Strada (yes, the first generation pickup truck lasted 22 years on the assembly line).

Features of the «anniversary» truck — a gray body, darkened wheels, black roof and mirror housings, stickers on the sides. A total of 1025 such pickups were produced.

All versions of the Strada-2024 also have a new steering wheel, and the Ultra and Edizione 25 also have red stitching and “leather” inserts on the doors.

As before, the equipment list of the base pickup includes air conditioning, front airbags, traction control and stability control.

Expensive trim levels include a “leather” interior, side “airbags”, a multimedia system with a 7-inch screen, a rear-view camera, wireless charging for a smartphone, parking sensors.

A pickup truck with a standard design costs $20,600-$24,700, the price of a “rich” Strada with a new “face” starts at $27,100.
