Opel Mokka Electric 2023.

The Opel Mokka 2023 crossover has become like Astra: the company’s press service announced an update to the compact SUV.

The German company has announced an updated subcompact crossover Opel Mokka Electric.

After Opel came under the control of the PSA group, and its cars “married” with the French model range, the leaders of the German company promised to leave only fully electric cars on the European market until the end of the decade.

To achieve its goals, the automaker needs to improve its electrical potential now.

What today, in fact, was proved by the example of the Opel Mokka Electric 2023.

The company’s press service announced a number of improvements to the range of environmentally friendly crossover for the new model year.

At the moment, there is information only about the improved technical characteristics of the crossover, but there is no information about whether the design of the model will be changed.

However, the improvements that have taken place with the battery pack that feeds the electric motor can be called outstanding and unexpected, as Opel fans will be able to notice here the resemblance to the recently introduced Astra Electric.

So, it became known that all electrified Mokka in 2023 will receive a more energy-intensive battery pack of 51 kWh.

This made it possible to achieve a cruising range without recharging of 406 km, instead of the previous 338 km.

In other words, with this battery, the range of autonomy has increased by 20%.

The car can be charged with fast charging in half an hour up to 80%, and energy consumption has decreased to 15.2 kWh per 100 km.

Along with this, a more powerful power unit is also reported. It is located on the front axle.

Now its return is 156 hp. and 260 N * m of torque.

According to Opel, this allows the crossover to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in less than ten seconds, and its top speed is 150 km / h.

It is noteworthy that a similar installation is also installed on the recently introduced Astra Electric, however, all indicators have better numbers there.

This is due to the more compact size and better aerodynamics of the Astra.
