The Evolute i-Joy crossover comes to the Russian market.

Following the Evolute i-Pro sedan, the Lipetsk plant Motorinvest began assembling the Evolute i-Joy crossover, and these vehicles will go on sale at official dealers in seven Russian regions over the coming weekend.

The electric i-Joy is a variant of the 2019 Chinese Dongfeng Fengon E3 crossover, which is exported under the name Seres 3 (including to Europe).

In terms of dimensions, the Evolute i-Joy is close to the familiar Nissan Qashqai and Skoda Karoq models. Length — 4385 mm, width — 1850 mm, height — 1650 mm and wheelbase — 2655 mm.

The crossover has 18-inch alloy wheels, declared ground clearance — 180 mm, but the drive is only front, and the simple chassis — with McPherson struts in front and semi-dependent suspension in back.

The trunk volume is from 535 liters under the shelf to 1225 liters with the folded back sofa.

The front axle is equipped with synchronous electric motor with an output of 163 hp and 195 Nm, although previously higher figures were shown.

There are Eco, Normal and Sport driving modes. The crossover with curb weight of 1,765 kg can accelerate to «hundred» in 8.9 seconds, the maximum speed — 155 km/h.

You can distinguish the latter from the basic version by a characteristic black decor, mesh grille and 18-inch wheels with red brake calipers. The interior of this Parkett has a dark finish.

The cabin of the Envista is characterized by two 10.25-inch displays, placed on a single panel without a visor.

Interestingly, the developers did not refuse to use analog buttons: the central console has the usual climate control unit.

It feels like Korean engineers and marketing specialists have studied forums of the owners of German competitors for months to get the best from them and eliminate «shoals».

In many respects they have succeeded. The Genesis is finished inside with dignity and good quality. Eco leather is much more pleasant tactile than, for example, in Mercedes.

The trunk is roomy — with the folded seats it is no problem to put a bicycle with 29 wheels.

Excellent visibility, well and convenient little things like a button to open the trunk on the rear window wiper (like on the Porsche Macan) also please. But not everything is perfect.

For example, there is no independent heater, as in Audi, it means that when you sit in the car with the engine switched off you cannot switch on the air conditioner. On the passenger seat there is no memory in adjustments.
