Rolls-Royce Bespoke has announced its latest project, which premiered at a private event in Pebble Beach, California.

The British automaker has revealed a La Rose Noire Droptail convertible built for unnamed customers.

Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Müller-Otvos said only that the car was built for a husband and wife from an internationally renowned family who decided to embody their feelings in an exclusive Rolls-Royce.

The source of inspiration for the creation of the project was the Black Baccara rose variety, which was bred by breeders in France.

The dark garnet color of the petals appears almost black, but in direct light, a red, pearly sheen is revealed on a dark surface.

These two shades are embodied in the car: the red True Love emphasizes the romantic background of the project, and the dark Mystery is inspired by the mysterious nature of the rose, which seems to change color when viewed from different angles.

To achieve a similar effect, Rolls-Royce developed a new paint process that was perfected over 150 meticulous iterations.

A top-secret base coat is followed by five coats of clear lacquer, each mixed with a slightly different shade of red.

The dark Hydroshade body décor takes on its color through the chrome plating process, where a special chromium electrolyte is injected and applied in a thin layer of just one micron to each stainless steel substrate.

This coating is also used on some of the interior metal parts, each hand-polished to a mirror finish.

Folding received a built-in section of electrochromic glass that changes transparency, as well as a special decorative element with the name of the model.

1603 black veneer triangles were used for interior trim.

The pattern consists of 1070 symmetrical background elements and 533 asymmetrical red elements representing rose petals.

Each triangle is carved from black sycamore wood, sanded and hand-mounted.

The seats are upholstered in dark red Mystery leather around the edges and light red True Love leather, each adorned with subtle copper accents reminiscent of the mother-of-pearl texture of Black Baccara rose petals.

The front panel is adorned with the exclusive Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Split-Seconds Chronograph GMT Large Date watch.

The clients decided to celebrate the car receiving ceremony with exclusive champagne from Champagne de Lossy, for which Rolls-Royce made a special box.
