The front bumper will get a cleaner design. In addition, the car will be equipped with a larger radiator grille.

At the back, the lighting units will also get a new design, and the bumper will become more massive.

The dimensions of the car will also increase, except for the height. It will be reduced by several millimeters.

In addition the engineers want to achieve more space in the Volkswagen Passat Variant. Most of all the design will be highlighted by the dashboard.

The updated station wagon will debut only in the second half of next year, and on sale no earlier than 2024.

It will be offered with a line of petrol and diesel engines. They will be paired with an automatic double-clutch transmission or 7-speed DSG.

In addition, the PHEV-version will use a 1.5-liter TSI instead of the 1.4-liter unit. Of course, all-wheel drive will be available.

As mentioned above, the Volkswagen Passat Variant has already been spotted repeatedly on road tests, so a lot of its spy images have already accumulated on the web.

Despite the fact that the manufacturer uses camouflage camouflage for the car, it is difficult to hide all the exterior details in this way.

Independent designers used photos that are freely available and presented their own vision of how the station wagon will look in the new generation, publishing quite an interesting rendering.

Thus, Volkswagen Passat Variant got new headlights, which became much smaller than in the current version.

Quite laconic design of the bumper itself, where especially stands out the air intake. It is assumed that the size of the station wagon will be adjusted, but so far there is no information about how they will change.

The body itself is likely to remain the same. Handles on the doors and side mirrors in the rendering are presented in the classic style of performance, but the wheels got the original design.

The interior will be modernized as well. So, there will be a little more space and comfort.

The design of the central console will be different, as well as the list of options. Expect better versions of multimedia and dashboard.

There will be offered other materials for trimming. The technical specifications will be determined not only by gasoline, but also diesel units, as well as hybrid unit.

Transmission, most likely, will remain the same — seven-speed DSG and «automatic» with double clutch.
